Crispy, crunchy & guilt-free-ish! 🧡 Red Lentil / Masoor Daal Crackers!
Ingredients:
1 cup red lentils — soaked for 3–4 hours
1/2 cup to 1 cup rice flour
1 tbsp sesame seeds
½ tsp cumin
1/2 tsp Nigella seeds / Kalonji
½ tsp red chilli flakes
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
1 tbsp oil
1–2 tbsp water, if needed
Method:
Drain the soaked lentils and blend them into a smooth or slightly coarse paste. Mix in the rice flour, sesame seeds, spices, and oil. Roll the dough out very thin between sheets of baking paper. Cut into small squares or triangles and lightly prick with a fork.
Oven: Bake at 170°C for 15–20 minutes, until the edges are golden and crispy. Let them cool completely—they will become even crispier as they cool. 😍
Air Fryer: Air fry at 160°C for approximately 10–14 minutes, depending on the thickness.
💡 Extra crispy tip: The thinner you roll the dough, the crunchier the crackers will be.
