Continuing with our Artist Workshop Series, we’re excited to welcome crochet artist Vivian Porto to the Handmayk Studio!

On Saturday, 12 September, Vivian will host a special one-day workshop where you’ll learn to create your own bloom.

Once your Bloom is complete, you decide how to use it.

Display it in your home, turn it into a statement textile piece, give it as a handmade gift, or simply enjoy the experience of creating something with your own hands.

Continuing with our Artist Workshop Series, we’re excited to welcome crochet artist Marília Luz to the Handmayk Studio!

On Saturday, 5 September, Marília will host a special one-day workshop where you’ll learn to create your own colourful granny square pouch.

During the 3-hour session, Marília will guide you through creating classic granny squares, exploring colour combinations, joining your squares and finishing your pouch with a button closure.

As part of our series of special workshops hosted by artists at the Handmayk Studio, here’s a new workshop to add to your creative calendar!

Join textile artist and yarn dyer Asad اسد for a hands-on introduction to the fascinating world of indigo dyeing.

Experience the magic of indigo as you dye your own skein of merino wool yarn, watching the colour transform before your eyes as it oxidises from green into beautiful shades of blue.

You’ll learn the basics of indigo dyeing, work directly with the indigo vat and build colour through multiple dips to create your own unique shade.

And the best part? The merino wool yarn you dye is yours to take home, ready to turn into your next knitting or crochet project.

No previous dyeing experience is needed - just come ready to get creative (and maybe a little blue!).

⚠️ Please note: Suitable for ages 12 and above. Indigo dyeing can be messy, so please wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained. While we’ll provide gloves and disposable aprons, indigo can permanently stain fabrics. Every hand-dyed skein will be slightly different, making the yarn you create uniquely yours.

Hand-dyed in our Dubai studio using traditional Yamato Indigo, this limited edition Roya Merino DK showcases one of the world’s oldest and most celebrated natural dyes.

Crafted from 100% superwash merino wool, this yarn combines the exceptional softness and performance of merino with the beauty of traditional Japanese indigo dyeing.

Every batch is dyed in small quantities, making each skein unique.

The yarn also carries the gentle, earthy aroma of natural indigo - a reminder of the traditional dyeing process.

This scent will gradually soften over time and with washing, while the beautiful naturally derived colour remains.

This is a limited drop. Once this batch is gone, the next batch will develop its own unique character, just as nature intended.
