A milestone I’m incredibly proud to share.

Anu Kewalram Design has been named Winner 2026 at the Global Elite Awards, recognised as a Leading Luxury Interior Design Studio for Bespoke Residential Spaces.

What makes this especially meaningful is the journey behind it. Building my studio later in life, trusting my instincts, finding my own design language, and continuing to evolve with every home and every client.

For me, luxury has never simply been about beautiful things. It is about creating spaces with soul, intention and a sense of belonging..homes that feel deeply personal to the people who live in them.

Grateful for the recognition, for the clients who place their trust in me, and for everyone who has been part of this journey.

The smallest bedroom in the apartment became an exercise in making every detail count.

Rather than trying to make the room appear larger by keeping everything pale, we embraced colour and gave it depth.

An enveloping green became the backdrop, balanced with warm walnut, ivory upholstery, botanical prints and layers of pattern and texture.

Bespoke joinery was designed around the available space, lighting was integrated to keep surfaces free, and every element was considered not simply for how it looked, but for how it allowed the room to function.

Because a smaller room doesn’t need less character.

Sometimes, it gives you the opportunity to be even more considered.

When one beautiful idea is allowed to lead, it can transform an entire room.

Here, chinoiserie moves beyond decoration — flowing across walls, doors and corners to become part of the architecture itself.

Soft, painterly and quietly immersive.

A room where art isn’t simply displayed. It is lived within.

Turns out, starting over can be kinda chic.

I didn’t set out with a perfectly mapped-out plan. I simply followed something I loved and kept going.

One project became another. Homes became stories. New people, new places, features, awards, projects across borders and a lot of hard work in between.

Somewhere along the way, I realised there is no age by which your story has to be written.

You can change direction.
You can begin again.
You can surprise yourself.

It’s almost like being reborn.
In a different version of yourself.

And you can still be dreaming about what comes next…

Some spaces don’t ask for attention. They simply invite you to slow down.

It’s been a little while since I last shared a project here, so I thought I’d return with one that’s especially close to my heart.

This bedroom was designed around a feeling rather than a trend. Soft layers, warm earthy tones, delicate textures and a hand-painted mural come together to create a space that feels calm, timeless and deeply personal.

I’ve always believed that the most luxurious interiors aren’t the ones that shout the loudest. They’re the ones that make you exhale the moment you walk through the door.

Design is about creating an experience, not just a beautiful photograph.

I’d love to know—which detail drew your attention first?

“When every element is chosen with intention, even a simple gallery wall becomes part of the architecture of the room”-Anu Kewalram

Every artwork has a purpose beyond decoration. Chosen for its colour, scale and quiet presence, each piece becomes part of the room’s rhythm rather than simply filling a wall. Together, they create moments of interest that unfold gently.Brilliantly crafted by ℕ𝕒𝕤𝕥𝕪𝕒 𝔻. | ℙ𝕒𝕚𝕟𝕥𝕚𝕟𝕘𝕤 𝔻𝕦𝕓𝕒𝕚 and proving that even the smallest collection can shape the atmosphere of an entire space.
