There is always something incredibly special about the very beginning.
This is a preliminary glimpse of our newest villa concept. While it is strictly in the initial concept phase, this little transition from the current site photo to our 3D vision helps us bridge the gap between imagination and reality.

Beyond the structure and the materials, what we really design are moments. We are taking our time to get this one just right, enjoying every step of the creative process before the dust and the concrete take over.

Developer approvals cleared, and we’ve officially begun the strip-out phase in
We are tearing down the old to make way for our signature 3D vision. As an MSc Architect-Engineer studio, this raw, deconstruction phase is where structural precision meets the ultimate clean slate for quiet luxury.

The results are in! Did you catch all 4?
Earlier this week, I challenged you to spot the differences between the v.1 and v.2 renderings of my latest project. While they may seem like small tweaks, these are the intentional decisions that define Tünde Hendricks Design.

Here is what changed and—more importantly—why:
1️⃣ The Ceiling: We moved from cross beams to parallel beams. This cleans up the visual "noise" and helps elongate the room, making the architecture feel more intentional and less cluttered.
2️⃣ The Dining Chairs: We added back pillows. It’s a double win: adding a layer of soft texture to the space while significantly increasing the comfort for long, slow dinners.
3️⃣ The Console Top: Swapped from wood to black. In v.1, the wood blended in; in v.2, the black provides a sharp, sophisticated contrast that anchors that side of the room.
4️⃣ The Floor Lamp: We removed the large floor lamp. Sometimes, design is about what you take away. Removing it opened up the floor plan and let the natural light (and the other key pieces) breathe.

The Takeaway: Architectural interior design isn't just about making things "look pretty"—it’s about balance, contrast, and how a space functions for the people inside it.

Can you spot the difference?
In architectural interior design, "good enough" is never the goal. It’s the 1% tweaks, the shift in a texture, the scale of a fixture, or the way light hits a surface, that transform a room from a space into an experience.
I’m currently fine-tuning this project, and I want to see if you have a "Designer’s Eye."

Who says coastal design must be light and airy?
Inspired by the deep burgundies and earthy browns of crabs found along the shoreline, we translated a client’s love for this darker palette into a "Coastal Noir" reality for this sea villa project. It’s a reminder that nature never gets the color balance wrong.
