Émile Gallé. Rose de France

One of the defining names of French Art Nouveau, Émile Gallé (1846–1904) pioneered the use of layered and acid-etched glass in decorative arts.

The Rose de France vase, created around 1900, demonstrates his signature approach, combining.

The Art of Glassware

The right glass does more than hold a drink.

Its proportions influence aroma and tasting, while the quality and thickness of the glass affect the way light moves across the table.

Whether clear or colored, glassware introduces rhythm, reflection, and depth to a setting, becoming an essential part of the overall composition.

For ORDO, a well-designed glass is both a functional object and a sculptural presence on the table.

Every two years, Venice becomes more than a destination.

The Biennale brings together contemporary art, architecture, design, and collecting, while the city itself becomes part of the experience through its museums, palazzos, hotels, and hidden corners.

For one week, Venice becomes the meeting point of art, culture, and collecting.

Mark Rothko changed the way color is perceived in
painting.

Rather than illustrating a subject, he used large fields of
color to create a physical and emotional experience for
the viewer.

Many museums display Rothko’s works with generous
spacing and subdued lighting, following the artist’s
belief that they should be viewed from a close distance
and in a quiet environment.

Today, his paintings are among the highlights of
collections at MoMA, Tate Modern, Fondation Louis
Vuitton, and other leading museums, while remaining
some of the most valuable works on the global art
market.

When Function Becomes Design

At first glance, it looks like a decorative panel.
In reality, it is a pair of concealed doors, seamlessly integrated into the interior through hand painted artwork.

This is one of the most elegant architectural techniques, where a functional element becomes part of the composition rather than interrupting it.

Murano Glass

Murano glass has been produced on the Venetian island of Murano since 1291, when the Venetian Republic moved all glass furnaces there to protect the city from fires and preserve the craft.

Over the centuries, Murano artisans developed techniques such as millefiori, filigrana, sommerso, and murrine, many of which are still executed entirely by hand.

Because each object is hand-blown, no two pieces are exactly alike. Subtle variations in color, form, and pattern are part of the making process.
