Pillow love all the way from Colombia 🇨🇴💛✨

We only have a few pieces left of these gorgeous and super soft pillow cases. They are handwoven by the artisans of the small Columbian brand called Zuahaza, one of the first brands we stocked right when we got started.

Tatiana, Veelie and the artisan collective they founded, create wonderful interior items, focusing on traditional handcraft, social fairness and sustainability. Check out their profile () to see what they have been up to lately 😊

They do everything by hand! Preparing and spinning the cotton, dying it with natural dyes, weaving the fabrics and, last, creating amazing pieces like this pillowcase.

Handmade from start to finish 👐🏼

This beautiful Mexican wool rug was woven by a female artisan from the village Teotitlan in Oaxaca. We have brought it back to Europe fromour last trip!🧵🇲🇽

When we turn a space into our home, be it moving into a new apartment or doing just a bit of remodelling or redecorating, we usually aim at making it comfortable, beautiful, a place where we belong, feel safe and at ease.

When making buying decisions like on decorative items, we should not only think about how it will make our home look and us feel like.

Let’s also consider who made the products and in which conditions those people work in. Are they working in a safe environment and paid fair wages? Furthermore, what materials are the items made from? Which and how many resources are used in the production process?

In short, the Before (purchasing an item) as well as the After (once an item is no longer used), count. Let’s include this thought in any buying decisions we make. Also when creating our homes 🤍
