I see myself as an contemporary artist, speaking the universal nonverbal language of colour, understanding it I credit this relationship with colour as the significant way how that leads to my paintings. My paintings are a communication with and through colours and each of my works begin with the empty space, always asking for the current state. Using colour as a higher goal and translating so the
simplicity from the complexity. This attitude allows a progress to evolve through a subtle dance with the colours and brushes bringing to surface a spectrum (colours) of life. Time is captured in the slow ritual of applying multiple layers of thin paint, a relief building up unto the surface until it emanates a sense of infinite space and light. This is understood to be the embodiment of inner light, as I see it as the key to emotion. In my work I regard each layer of colour as symbolic of the changing aspects of life, my very existence as an artist. Therefor I explore, investigate and experiment with the contemplative power of colours as well as the sound. While painting I am very attentive to my inner attitude, knowing, my current state of being awake is more important than ever, creating a response to life rather than a reaction, thus responding with a forceful flow of colour to life rather then a reaction to omnipresent distractions
"Our response to colour mirrors our response to life. Colours we like are related to aspects of life we feel comfortable with. Colours we dislike correspond to experiences we have kept in the dark.
