At this year’s Vienna Design Week, Ēchos will take the column as its point of departure — one of architecture’s oldest spatial elements. It translates this element into a family of seating objects positioned between furniture, architecture and acoustics. Their sculptural form shapes the surrounding space, while their acoustic composition is tuned to lower frequencies.
The result is an object that does not hide its acoustic function, but makes it part of the spatial experience.
Echos is designed by Anna Sudy, Anna Antoni and Leonie Felger as part of the seminar Applied Acoustics at the Institute of Architecture, University of Applied Arts Vienna.
Realised in collaboration with Oido and presented as part of the MissionAcoustic | Acoustic Design & Planning stand at Vienna Design Week 2026.
