🐝🥃 Checking on my bees before flying to ABERDEEN, SCOTLAND! ✈️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Tomorrow is the **kyshop Wh**ky Festival and I’ll be there with and ! And since it’s Halloween… we’re all dressing up! 🎃👻 Can’t wait to see what everyone looks like!

I’ll be engraving and painting wh**ky bottles LIVE, and creating personalised painted vinyl record artworks! 🎨🥃💿

Fancy something unique? Come and find us! Limited LPs available, so don’t leave it too late!

Now, back to my bees… 🐝

I’ve been wondering how I could get a little wh**ky flavour into their honey. 🤔 Do wh**ky flowers exist?! 😂

Obviously, adding wh**ky to their food is a terrible idea and could harm them… but MAN, these hardworking little legends deserve a DRAM! 🥃🐝

See you in Aberdeen! SLÀINTE! 🥃

What’s your therapy? 🎨

I have many, but creating art is definitely one of them.
I still haven’t found a name for this piece. Maybe you can help me choose one?

But then again, does it really need a name?

Maybe art is simply meant to speak for itself, to make you feel something and tell a story without saying a word.

What does this one say to you? 🖤

Is that really a secret !? How to make your own danish oil!! 🥃🪵

Today I’m sharing something I’ve been using in my workshop for my wh**ky barrels since 10 years now?! My very own homemade Danish-style wood oil!

And guess what? Just 3 ingredients! 👇

🪵 1 part Linseed Oil

🪵 1 part Hardwax Oil

🪵 1 part White Spirit (thinner)

That’s it! 🙌

The white spirit helps thin the mixture so the oil can pe*****te deeper into the wood instead of just sitting on the surface.

It brings out that beautiful natural grain, nourishes the wood and helps protect it against moisture and everyday splashes.

I absolutely love the finish it gives my wh**ky barrels! 🥃

⚠️ QUICK WORKSHOP NOTE:
Make sure your hardwax oil is compatible with the mixture. Soak oil-covered rags in water and keep them in a sealed, suitable container until safe disposal, as they can spontaneously combust!

Now you know one of my secrets! 🤫

Would you try making your own? Let me know in the comments! 👇

Prost 🥃

Every artwork has its own journey.

Some come to life in a day. Others take months. This one took almost a year. I know..

Life gets in the way. Ideas evolve. You learn, you adapt, and sometimes you have to put the brush down for a while. That’s okay.

The mountain doesn’t disappear because you turned back. When the conditions are right, you climb again and you reach the summit.

Art is no different.

This painting was worth the wait, and I’m proud of where the journey led.

Because I don’t create art to fill a wall. I create art that carries a story.

This is the story of .winelover 4K giveaway painting.

Let’s go. 🎨🥃🔥thank you for everyone that believe in my work. I want to paint your story too!

The beginning of something special. 🔥

The first Balzak Brothers gathering is in the books, and with it, the birth of GRILLFEST.

For two days we grilled almost nonstop, shared stories, raised a few drams, and together created a one-of-a-kind artwork inspired by Roel Gilbert ‘sfavourite wh**ky of all time.

The best part? Everyone left their mark on the canvas. Every brushstroke carries a memory, making this piece a tribute to Gilly, his friends, and a weekend that deserves another chapter. Martijn Trijsburg Jill Duckers

A special thought for Ozzie. ❤️ Rest easy, little mate. He couldn’t resist stealing the BBQ handle bone one last time.

This is why I create.

I don’t make art just to fill a wall.
I create art that tells stories.
Art that carries memories.
Art that lives.
