Sometimes the mask slips.
Not because we failed to hold it together.
But because what we carry finally overflows.
We learn to smile through it. To make space for everyone else. To say “I’m fine” while our own words sit heavy behind our teeth.
And then one day the lace slides. One hazel eye opens. One tear tells the truth our mouth was taught to hide.
This isn’t weakness. This is your body being honest for you.
If you’re in the overflow today, you don’t have to fix it or explain it. Just let yourself see it.
What’s been overflowing for you lately that you haven’t said out loud?
