Missing the flowers! and Tom got married in spectacular fashion in April this year. With at the planning helm it couldn’t be anything less.

A reminder The Lost Florist is paused for the moment as I am mothering 3 babies under 2 years old. I’ll be back Spring next year 🌸 I am still taking enquiries but rather slow on the emails at the moment 💓

Remembering that I’ve done other great things this year apart from grow and birth babies 😆

Ash & Lindsay were wed back in April at the incomparable Le Mas Barossa Valley.

These enormous cascading tulip urns were one of my favourite ceremony moments this season.

Welcome to the family our beautiful twins Alba & Heath born late September 💕 (little) big sister Rowan has outdone all our expectations of someone so young. Kids are so smart and resilient.

Some big news, our family is expanding… two more babies arriving this spring! A little brother and sister for our 20 month old Rowie.

Yep, twins! And yes your maths is correct, that means 3 babes under 2 years of age 😅😅😅

The Lost Florist will be put on pause for a season so I can focus on mothering 3 little loves.

Returning spring 2026, please don’t hesitate to submit enquiries for then and beyond when we will be eager to get back on the tools once more. ✂️

2025, hey babe! 👋

This is me, Adelle - business owner, floral designer and sometimes bucket scrubber of The Lost Florist. We are heading into year FIVE(!) of TLF this year, which is crazy considering I became a business owner somewhat accidentally.

I have been inspired by a post by my talented friend to get a little bit vulnerable today. Here is the origin story (so to speak) of The Lost Florist. Where we started, where we’ve been hiding and where we are heading towards this year and beyond.

The Lost Florist originally started as a portfolio page in 2019 to post my floristry work from when I lived in London. I was a graphic designer by trade when I left Adelaide for adventure abroad, but was always drawn to flowers and dreamed about it becoming my job. Thanks to good timing, a great boss taking a chance on me and a pinch of Aussie charm, I got the opportunity to learn on the job at . It was here my floral obsession truly began. I saw what flowers can do to transform, to enhance, to emote, and to comfort. This opportunity set me up for life, undoubtedly.

The inspiration for the name The Lost Florist is because at the time I felt lost somewhere between my two homes of England and Australia. I am forever inspired by wild country gardens in England and the untamed natural beauty of my birthplace Adelaide, Australia. I am still to this day a bit lost somewhere between the two ✨

When I returned to Adelaide I had no intention of creating a business. Absolutely not! I would never have called myself entrepreneurial. I wanted to work for someone else in a big team, collaborate, get inspired by other creatives and make, make, MAKE until my fingers ached.

I stumbled into my business through generous (and brave!) friends and family, trusting me to create flowers for their special events. I loved working in retail flowers in England (there is something SO satisfying about getting a brief, making, delivering and receiving instant feedback in minutes!) but felt drawn to create for bigger events and weddings.

At the very end of 2023 our beautiful girl arrived healthy and screaming into this world. Her name is Rowan Amber or Rowie for short and she is the centre of our universe. 💓

We are settling into newborn life well but please be patient with us the next few weeks on email. If anything is urgent please call or text my phone.

Thanks to help from epic talented freelancers and we have several beautiful weddings at the start of 2024 we can’t wait to create for!

The Lost Florist’s books are closed for further events until October 2024. We are still slinging out custom quotes for the 24/25 season so please get in touch to lock in your date! Also, as per usual, I like to support other fantastic SA florists when I’m not available, so reach out and I can make recommendations.
