~ THROWBACK THURSDAY - CORNY POINT ~

Today we throw it back to one of our favourite projects in Corny Point.

A statement in simplicity ✨

The Corny Point project by Contech is a perfect example of how thoughtful lighting can transform a space. Titanium surface-mount downlights provide a clean, contemporary finish, while carefully integrated strip lighting adds depth and atmosphere throughout.

A seamless balance of coastal character, modern detail and practical design.

The beauty of uplighting ✨

No raked ceiling is complete without the Vespa G2 Uplights by Unios

Throughout the Eastwood Project designed by Troppo Architects, the stunning roofline is beautifully accentuated by the soft, ambient glow of these uplighting fittings. Beyond highlighting the architecture, they create a warm and inviting atmosphere, providing the perfect ambience for the owners to unwind and enjoy their home after dark.

Meet ✨Jess✨

Our newest Lighting Designer to join the Allera family, Jess has quickly become an integral part of the team. When she’s not creating thoughtful, bespoke lighting designs, you’ll find her in the warehouse alongside Andrea, helping to ensure that every order heads out the door.

Growing up in the beautiful Clare Valley, Jess’ passion for design started at a young age. She loved collecting house plan cut-outs from the Sunday Mail, and that early fascination eventually led her to complete a Master of Architecture. It wasn’t long before she discovered a love for lighting design, and the rest is history.

Jess’ organisation and attention to detail are what make her shine behind the scenes. Stepping in to help fill an Andrea-sized gap in the warehouse is no easy feat, but she’s embraced the challenge with enthusiasm. Her bubbly personality makes collaborating with clients a pleasure, helping them to create well-considered lighting plans that perfectly suit their spaces.

Outside of the office, you’ll usually find Jess playing Touch Football with her social team, rain, hail or shine. When she’s not catching up with friends around Adelaide, she’s often heading back to Clare to spend time with family and enjoy a breath of fresh country air.
💫Fast Facts:

☕️Go-to drink: Strong Cappuccino
💬Fun fact: Much like Troy and Andrea’s family, Jess skipped a whole term of Year 8 to travel Australia in a Caravan
📚Favourite part of my job: Seeing a complete lighting order and knowing it’s time to bring one of our team’s design to life

~ CRESCENT SCONE I STUDIO ENTI ~

More than just a wall light, the Crescent Sconce by Studio Enti by Naomi Taplin is a sculptural piece that uses soft, directional light to create warmth, depth and atmosphere.

Install it facing up or down to completely change the way it interacts with the space.

~ HOUSE ON THE HILL ~

Some projects never get old.

Still one of our favourite landscape lighting designs to date. Warm, understated lighting that brings the gardens to life while letting the view do the talking.

~ FITTING SPOTLIGHT I CAESARSTONE SHOWROOM ~

For the Caesarstone Australia showroom, we layered a range of fittings to create warmth, depth and visual interest while allowing the surfaces and materials to take centre stage:

• ION S Track Lights - highlighting key displays and feature surfaces
• Titanium Starlights - delivering subtle ambient illumination
• Switch Adjustable Downlights - providing precise, flexible task lighting
• ION R Surface Mounted Downlights - complementing the architectural language throughout
• PS10 Inter Pro Linear Lighting - enhancing joinery and adding warmth to display shelving
• South Drawn Margin Pendant - creating a refined focal point within the consultation space

Each fitting has a purpose, but together they create a seamless lighting experience that elevates every surface, texture and detail.
