Employee of the month? ME.
Most difficult employee to manage? Also me. 😂

Nothing prepares you for discovering that “be your own boss” actually means becoming EVERY employee.

One minute I’m creating something beautiful, the next I’m answering emails, chasing invoices, packing orders, editing a Reel, fixing something that mysteriously stopped working and having a very serious staff meeting with myself.

And somehow, amongst all the chaos, I genuinely wouldn’t trade it. Watching something you built from scratch continue to grow is a pretty special feeling.

Small business owners, what’s the most random job title you’ve accidentally acquired since starting your business? 😂

Since I’m already here… hiiiii. I’m Dami, and I turn those “I saved 47 photos on Pinterest but don’t know how to make any of it work together” ideas into actual beautiful celebrations.

You bring the Pinterest board.
I’ll bring the flowers, the props, the pretty details and just the right amount of unnecessary drama.

I wanted to be a doctor. 😂

That was the plan.

Study hard. Become a doctor. Save lives. Very serious, very respectable, very straightforward.

Then life said… that’s cute.

I grew up, got married, became a mum, moved countries, built a life I could never have imagined back then… and somewhere along the way, I found flowers.

Now instead of walking into a hospital with a stethoscope, I walk into venues with boxes of flowers, cable ties, scissors and approximately 47 things hanging from my hands.

And somehow, it fits.

Because I’ve realised that creativity was always in me. I just didn’t know this was what it would look like.

Today, I get to play with colour, shape, texture and movement. I take empty spaces and turn them into places where people celebrate love, milestones and some of the happiest moments of their lives.

So no, I didn’t become the doctor I thought I would be.

But I think I found my own kind of magic after all.

Life has a funny way of rewriting the plan… and sometimes, the plot twist is actually really beautiful.

And now I get to use that plot twist to make your special moments beautiful too.

So if you live in Adelaide and you’ve got a wedding, or a special celebration coming up and you want flowers that make the whole space feel magical… come find the girl who was supposed to be a doctor. 😂
