Stansbury Seaside Markets last weekend 🥰

So we want to know what did you take home from the market?

Tell us in the comments. Was it something handmade? Something delicious? Something you definitely weren’t planning on buying until you saw it? Or maybe something you went there specifically to buy.

Also big thanks to Crafting with Colour for letting me snap this quickly amongst the rush.

There’s a few crafts that I have deemed ‘not for business’ so I don’t end up turning every hobby into a part of my business. That also included not sharing them, which I guess this technically crosses that line. BUT it’s for a good cause! To encourage you to get drawing! In 2024, I decided to dedicate time everyday to drawing flowers. I lasted about 5 weeks. Not that long in the scheme of things. But I’ve still got the skills I picked up during that time inside my brain. So now I can draw flowers WAY better than I used to. I love learning new things. But you’ll never improve if you don’t at least start! So this is your sign 🌸

The last couple months have been filled with SO much good. But my oh my have they been FILLED.

We launched Wallaroo Night Markets - a project that has required a lot of time and hard work. Which all paid off for our September launch. Wonderful night. Beautiful weather. Preparations are well underway for the next one (in less than two weeks!!).

Over the weekend, I thoroughly enjoyed both Moonta and Stansbury markets. Though on Saturday the wind had quite a bit of energy behind it, so the enjoyment was a little less thorough that day. It’s always a great feeling to finish a weekend with the realisation that much restocking must be done.

I’m working on some new things which as usual I’m not the best at telling anyone about. Sure, I’ll teach you anything you need to know about a 1953 vintage singer, but when it comes to the things I‘ve got for sale… 🦗. But I did manage to tell you that my Christmas earrings were available (with a single post, so if you missed it well, my bad).

Stirling Laneways! The distance I travel for this market might be a bit crazy, but it was thoroughly worth it. I loved the little lane way I found myself in, right next to the calming music. And I’ll be back for the next one! And I’d love to see you there! Help me make the 5hr round trip worth it 🫶

I can’t tell you how many crochet earrings I’ve made over the last few months, it’s been non stop! In the best way! You can find them at markets - I’ve always got a decent selection. Or if you’re after a pair that’s EXACTLY how you’d like them - head to my website where you can choose your design and colours. Which results in over 1000 different combinations. I’m always adding new designs too! Or, if you’re down south, find my earrings at Harbor Collective in Victor Harbor. And while you’re there please take a moment to acknowledge how beautiful the display is too, that would be appreciated.

I’m currently working on improving my display at markets. One, so it looks better and two, so my set up and pack up times decrease. Striving for the whole work smarter not harder thing. I think it’s going quite well. Obsessed with my new wristlet display. Which one will I work on next?

These simple + lightweight crocheted Christmas earrings will be available this Sunday at Stirling Laneways and on Monday on my online store ✨

This year I won’t be releasing a full Christmas collection, I’ll just be releasing a few bits and pieces as we draw closer to Christmas. My main focus this year is making handmade gifts for you all to give to your family and friends 🥰🎁

The winners made some great choices. But I’d love to know, what would you have chosen? 🥰

What do you think will finish this jacket? I’m mega excited to add more to it! Making these custom patches using just regular printer paper is SO fun!!

Today I learned that the term ‘flat out’ is Aussie slang. I replied to a DM from a US follower and said I’ve been flat out lately. I’ve been ITCHING to get back to crafting more. Itching? Is that more slang? ALAS, my event organiser hat is firmly ON this week. So the crafting must wait a few more days. Plus one extra day for sleeping. CMON Wallaroo Night Markets!!
…should I be writing Instagram captions at 11pm??
