We are so excited and proud to be included in this fabulous new book by Paula Flynn, The ShopKeepers
We’ll have copies of this beautiful book in both our stores, and it’s being launched this week.
A big thank you to uber talented Jono for capturing our Auburn Village store so beautifully with your divine photography.
Paula regularly celebrates the most gorgeous independent bricks-and-mortar stores from around the world, and I’m so grateful she does. I adore her feed!
I’m definitely an in-store kind of girl. I love the experience and being made to feel that my purchase matters, no matter how small. Online shopping certainly has its place, but there is nothing quite like wandering into a beautiful independent store where every piece has been thoughtfully and lovingly curated by its owner.
I recently read an article suggesting that people are finding their way back to independent high street stores, drawn by the wonderful service, personal connection and sense of community they offer. So many big corporate chains are becoming increasingly generic and soulless, which makes the individual service and interesting stock in independent stores even more special. We all have the power to keep small businesses in business by frequenting our independent local food shops, coffee shops and retail stores regularly.
This beautiful book is all about celebrating that individuality, the stories behind the stores and the people who make them special and offer great service.
Well done, Paula! What a fabulous book and such a wonderful celebration of independent retail. We feel very lucky to be included! ❤️ Lynn
