~ 2026 ~
A little delayed on the new year welcome post, 2025 was certainly a year. There was health issues, big grief (we farewelled our big dog Stanley, the goodest boy) and the usual chaos of mixing busy big family life with small business life. One huge thing I felt though, as we closed the doors Christmas Eve, was overwhelming gratefulness towards those loyal customers who choose us, even if it means waiting on something to come into stock or special order, or circling around the block a 2nd (or 3rd, 4th, 5th!) time to find a parking spot. There is a number of you who I actually think have kept this business afloat the last few years and I have said it before, but I will say it 20 more times - I am SO grateful to you. I wonât lie, this last year has probably been the toughest yet, but we are still here! After a little rest time this week, I do feel excited for the possibilities of a fresh new year.
Made is an absolute dream space to spend time in, the brands we work with are all amazing and our customers are the most lovely people in the world, we almost never have a negative experience and we often have chats like old friends. We are very lucky. Of course also a great, big thank you to Sonya, the angel in store who takes such care with our visitors, itâs been a big time and you are an absolute gem.
2026 letâs see what the cards reveal. I have an inkling it will include lots of pretty things, smiling faces, loads of laughs and I am definitely winning lotto this year, imagine all the things I can order in for you then!!!
