The spindle is still spinning. 🧶
There is something I keep coming back to time and time again - drop spindle spinning. I love the way it asks you to be completely present.

You can not rush it.

You can not scroll while you do it.

You can not think about your to-do list for very long before the fibre reminds you to pay attention.

In a world that moves so fast, I find that kind of insistence on the present moment genuinely rare, and genuinely precious.

This is what slow craft gives you. Not just something beautiful at the end — but the quiet in between. 🌿

🚴🏻‍♀️🐑🧶Tour de Fleece 2026!🧶🐑🚴🏻‍♀️
Team Liz Green Arts is running again this year and we have two tours worth of fun! You can spin on spindles, spinning wheels, charkhas, e-spinners... anything you can spin yarn on really, so everyone is welcome! We welcome all levels of spinners, from newbies to Veterans, and we will encourage and support you to spin and participate in as much of the Tours and Team challenges as you wish. We will also have daily challenges for prizes! We strongly support spinning from Stash and we welcome all types of spinning materials, including from fleece! We would love to also see some Liz Green Arts fibres (or even one of our TdF Fibre Challenge Packs), but it is not required. We are a family friendly team and encourage young spinners!

If you would like to Join the Team, keep up to date with new products, events and craft-alongs, please join me in my "Creators Space", the Liz Green Arts online Studio community for Crafters, Creators and Artisans.
