Hello Gorgeous.....

So this happened today....
Our Next Chapter...
Our farm is forever changing... forever evolving... and today we got to tick another thing off our list.
We have rebranded...

What started with flowers has grown into so much more.
We offer education in the art of floristry through our Academy, our You Picks, workshops, weddings, events and styling... and of course, growing our beautiful flowers right here on the farm.
There has been so much happening behind the scenes...
Brand new toilets ✔️
Our studio ✔️
Our rebrand ✔️
And now.... our gorgeous new van ✔️

Every little piece is slowly coming together.
And we can't wait to see our new signage on the van in a few weeks.... she's going to look pretty gorgeous.

So I'm sure you'll see her getting around town very soon... delivering flowers, heading off to weddings and events.

A huge thank you to Paul from Blacklocks Ford Wodonga for helping us with our gorgeous new van. We absolutely love her.
There is still so much happening here at the farm... and plenty we haven't shared yet.

Watch this space.... our next chapter is just beginning.

Hello Gorgeous...

I asked someone a while ago...
“Are you doing what makes you happy?”

I then asked her...
“If you could do anything... absolutely anything... what would you do?”

Her answer has stayed with me.
“I'm not like you Van... I don't have everything like you do. My life is harder than yours.”
And I thought...
You really don't know my story.
You see me now.

You see the flowers... the farm... my family... the things we are building and creating.
But you didn't see what it took to get here.
You didn't see the hard years. The losses. The disappointments. The times I had very little. The times things didn't work. The times I had to pick myself up and start all over again.
My life isn't perfect.
It never has been.

And I certainly haven't been handed everything.
I've just chosen not to let the difficult parts of my story become the end of my story.
That's why I always say...

Don't look at someone else's life and think they have it easier than you.
You have absolutely no idea what someone has lived through to become the person standing in front of you today.

Maybe instead of asking...
“Why does she have that and I don't?”
Ask yourself...
“What can I do with the life I have?”
Because that's where change begins.
I'm still learning. Still growing. Still making mistakes. Still dreaming. Still trying.

Just a girl here... growing flowers and creating a life that makes me happy.

Hello Gorgeous.....
I've had a few people ask...
What is our Be Inspired Workshop about?

Well...this is what it is.
Our Be Inspired Workshop isn't about learning how to grow flowers. It's not for those already growing flowers or wanting to learn how to grow flowers.
That's not what this day is about....it's not even about picking flowers ...

Yes...we will be surrounded by flowers. We will walk amongst the flower fields, create something beautiful, share food, talk, laugh and hopefully make some beautiful memories.
But Be Inspired is about YOU...about people.
It's for someone who might need a little inspiration in their life...
Someone wanting to try something completely different.
Someone who may have lost a little confidence along the way.

Someone wanting to meet new people, step outside their comfort zone, learn something new or simply have a beautiful day away from everyday life.
It's about connection, encouragement, sharing stories and inspiring each other.
Sometimes you just need to put yourself somewhere different...meet someone you would never normally meet...hear someone else's story...and realise we are all on our own journey.
That's what I wanted Be Inspired to be.
The flowers are just the beautiful place where we bring everyone together.

We can't wait to meet you all in October.
For those who have received a confirmation email, please let us know that you have received and accepted your invitation so we can confirm our numbers and know how many people we are catering for on the day.

Come as you are...
Walk amongst the flowers.
Create. Eat. Talk. Laugh.
And hopefully leave feeling just a little more inspired than when you arrived.

Hello Gorgeous...

Everyone's journey is different... everyone's struggles are different.
We all walk different paths, at different times, and carry things that others may never see.
I can feel my season of change coming...

I think I have always been someone who is forever evolving. Learning, growing, changing, and trusting the journey, even when I don't quite know where it is leading me.

Maybe that is what life is... not staying the same, but having the courage to keep becoming who we are meant to be.

Hello Gorgeous....

The humble Vegemite toast....
I always have a jar of Vegemite at home. Not because I eat it all the time, but because it reminds me of a time in my life that I never want to forget.

My mum passed away when I was three.
My dad was left here with two little girls and no family around to help him. For a little while, my sister and I had to be separated because Dad simply couldn't look after both of us on his own.

I went to stay with my sponsor family. Beautiful people who cared for me and introduced this little Vietnamese girl to Vegemite toast for breakfast.
I still remember looking at it...
What is this black, salty stuff??
Where was my rice and egg that Mum used to make me for breakfast?
I was only three, but yes... I remember.
I remember more than people probably realise.
I remember my mum. I remember the last time I saw her. I even remember the last conversation between my mum and dad.

So when I look at a humble piece of Vegemite toast, I don't just see breakfast.
I see a little three-year-old girl who had lost her mum, wasn't with her dad or little sister, and didn't really understand why her whole world had suddenly changed.
I see my father's hardship too. A man trying to keep going and do the best he could with what he had.
There was sadness. There was hardship. There was separation.

But there were also beautiful people who stepped in when our little family needed them.
Funny how something as simple as a jar of Vegemite can hold so many memories.

Some things we keep not because they're valuable...
but because they remind us of where we came from. ❤️
Trust the journey... even the parts of it that were hard.

We just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has reached out, applied, shared our post or simply sent us a beautiful message of support. It really does mean so much to our little flower family.
When we started creating “Life Amongst Flowers”, we wanted it to be more than just a flower farm.
We wanted a place where people could come and learn the art of floristry... walk amongst the flower fields... bring their children and experience Mother Nature doing what she does best.

And now we are ready for our next chapter...
This role is rewarding, but it is also real.
You will learn the art of floristry, growing and working with flowers... but you will also learn about early mornings, muddy boots, the weather not going to plan and the hard work that happens behind all those beautiful flowers.
You will become part of a small family-run business, surrounded by some pretty beautiful people who help us make all of this happen every day.

This isn't a hobby for us.
We have invested so much of ourselves, our family, our time and our hearts into building this.
So we aren't just looking for someone to fill a position.
We are looking for the right person to teach... to grow with us... and to help us take Life Amongst Flowers into its next beautiful chapter.

Through the early mornings, the long days, the laughter, the tears, the mistakes and all those little moments in between.

We’ve grown together... not just flowers, but friendships, memories and a family we’re so incredibly grateful for.
Everyone who has walked through our doors, worked beside us, supported us, laughed with us and believed in what we do... you are part of our story.

Flowers may have brought us together, but it’s the people who make this place so special.
