It's a piece of Australia's colonial-era history, a quilt sewn by convict women on a ship and presented on arrival in Van Diemen's Land, 182 years ago. It is hidden away in a store room in Canberra — but now, the push is on for the Rajah Quilt to come back to Tasmania.

Last weekend we had our annual quilt retreat at Mulgoa. It was a great weekend with lots of fun and laughter, too much food and drink and even some sewing was done!

Moonglow! I always vowed I would never make this quilt but there was nothing like a visit to the Jinny Beyer Studio to make me change my mind. Thank you Sarah Allen for encouraging me to purchase this kit. Top all done, now to get it quilted!

11 years ago I purchased a Civil War Tribute BOM. Well, it’s been more like a block of the year for me but during this current lockdown I have finally finished it and it has actually made it onto the bed!
