We love what we do and the difference our produce makes to the health, growth and sustainability of your garden. Our passion for beautiful healthy soil and successful ‘growing’ isn’t just about our love of the restorative power of the nature... it’s also about sharing a ‘growing’ connection with all the families we meet on our seasonal visits from the farm to spread the ‘Love’ in their gardens. Th
is 30 year family tradition of transforming soils along Sydney’s exclusive harbour foreshore and greenbelt has been a quietly growing affair attuned to the natural cycles of nature to perfect a locally produced, 100% natural, bio-activated garden ’superfood’ upon which your plants will thrive. Our philosophy for ‘growing’ is also very much about growing the capacity we all have to ‘make a difference’ in the world. Your 'season the season' purchases of our gourmet garden food helps our continuing commitment to producing films and projects that message and promote the future for peace and sustainability. Richard ‘Ric' Friar - aka the ‘King of Poo’ - catalysed the emergence of the 'composting with worms' movement in Australia through his larger than life media performances. Throughout the 1990’s, during 40hours of prime time television interviews and thousands of print and radio appearances, he single handedly enlightened audiences about the deep value of recycling organic matter using worms to harvest their miraculous ‘manure’ for the cultivation of high performance soils that turbocharge plant growth and health. These were early days of experimentation and ‘King Poo’ was leading this revolution of understanding with his son, Neuman, at his side to meet the demands of garden lovers all over Sydney for the ‘good stuff’ they brought to their gardens. In the decades that followed, King Poo used his media fame to raise awareness about sustainability through his 'Good Planets are Hard to Find Eco-Roadshow’. Ric and Wendy, a social pioneer in her on right, joined forces to take the Eco-Roadshow on it’s final tour before embarking on the journey to make their feature documentary film dedicated to a peaceful, sustainable future for Earth, ‘Think About It!’. They also developed cultural sustainability project models in Vanuatu as well as making history - and headlines - in Australia by successfully applying for the first license to grow industrial hemp in an urban area! With Ric's passing in 2019, their last international award winning production ‘Phenomenality’ is part of the continuing legacy of their partnership as Wendy champions new projects to promote “the difference that makes a difference” to the future of peace and sustainablility globally.
