We’ve just finished the most magnificent afternoon at Inglewood mansion.
We had a tour of some of the rooms downstairs, the staircase mural, I was interested in the pelmets as seen on the renovation series on TV a few years ago.
We had canapés, w**e and a Gilbert & Sullivan theatre production, lovingly put together by hosts Lisa and Justin & the Wandering Minstrels.

Feeling blessed - it didn’t rain ☔️

It was a pleasure today to clean all the blinds, donating our service to Bendigo Legacy Club a very valuable service supporting war widows and their families.

Also a big thank you to in Melbourne for donating a new Venetian blind to replace a damaged one.

Spring is here after a damp cold winter 🌸🌸🌸
Following on from our post last week, we've never seen so much mould. This includes caravans, tents, pop tops, campers etc.. We have been inundated with calls for Canvas Magic and the Waterproof system, because they really do work, and its easy to use. We're currently out of stock, and I thought would have been here today, fingers crossed for any day now!

One thought too, when it's cooler outside and you're all asleep in your campers, condensation will build up just from your breathing. You might not see it, but packing up and not drying the canvas out, will cause mould. Always a great idea to set it up under cover at home and let the canvas air out.

Where has the year gone?
This year Rods last day will be Friday 18th December.

We’ve been in this business 12 years and we do see a lot of mould on curtains, blinds, and windows.

This year has topped every other year.
This year would have to be the most amount of mould we’ve ever seen in peoples homes and there’s no judgement.

💧Was it wetter than normal?
💧Colder than normal?
💧Cost of living and residents not keeping their homes as warm as they normally would?

You can help yourselves with mould, it really is dangerous to our health.
🌺open your windows, just a little and allow fresh air in, day and night.
🌺if you need to keep windows closed, wipe the windows to dry them with a rag each day.
🌺turn on exhaust fans in wet areas

From the 1st October, the government have put a ban on business owners implementing credit card fee for goods and services.

It’s something that we’ve discussed over our 12 years of business and while we do have a credit card facility, it does cost us as a business to provide this service.

With the cost of living and high costs that continue to grow in running businesses, we would much prefer if you could please pay directly into our account with our account details on the day or pay with cash.

Who’s started spring cleaning?

I’ve made a start, washed the bedroom windows, fly screen and sheers, Rods done the drapes, cobwebbed, done the fan and will make a start on the evap cooler vents and open them up. I saw a weather forecast for next Saturday (grand final day) that it will be 27 at 10am 😳

A good big dust of furniture and vac under and behind furniture. Strip the bed and give it all a good air out.

I’ll even clean out & declutter the wardrobe & bedside drawers. I’m sure there’s stuff to throw out.

I’d forgotten that I didn’t do a spring clean last year as I’d had neck surgery a year ago,today I was horrified at the amount of dust in, on and around things that a general clean doesn’t get. Now time for a rest. I’m a bit sore & the rest will be done tomorrow ☀️
