I don't use my rotating cutting mat very often, but when I do, it gets a good workout. Marking lines on 40+ sets of half square triangle units for a secret project.

Can't believe it is already a week since Quilt Encounter. It was an amazing week teaching three different classes using the different curved rulers by Sew Kind of Wonderful
Here are the photos from the Mini Curve runner 1 day class where the ladies made the free pattern which comes with the Mini Quick curve ruler. It was very satisfying to see so many finished tops at the end of the day.
The retreat is organised by SA Quilters and the Quilt Encounter committee did a fantastic job of co-ordinating 180+ students attending 23 classes with 11 tutors over 5 days.
If you are looking for a retreat to ignite your mojo or just spend time sewing, put it on your bucket list.

Today we visited the newly renovated Penang Museum. Lots of interesting historical items on display. Naturally I was most drawn to the Peranakan tiles, Nonya embroidered shoes, windows and butterflies!
On our last day in Saigon we visited the Southern Women's Museum and saw an amazing display of Ao Dai (these are my favourite 3) along with tributes to heroic women throughout history.
