Let's play a game called "Spot the Sewing Machine" 🕵️‍♀️😅

I debated tidying up for the photo, but honestly? This is what this space looks like on a good day. No staging, no hiding the clutter, just real life.

Somewhere buried in that "organised chaos"(between the wire baskets) is the sewing machine I "borrowed" from my brother years ago. He may correct me on this but he never opened it and I never gave it back. Now it lives here... somewhere in the pile.

For those zooming in:
✅Yes, those are old wardrobe drawers I repurposed under the desk.
✅Yes, that is a timber rail where I messed up the bracket install.
✅No, I don't know when I'll tidy it.

From total chaos to a custom floating desk! ✨

I wanted a wall-to-wall workspace without legs getting in the way, so I built this floating benchtop.
I tackled it 99% solo—but I did have to call Dad for a quick "tech support" chat when I couldn't find a stud for the corner bracket. His solution was genius (and saved me so much stress).

Sometimes my DIY projects have to go through puberty before they look pretty.

I've rearranged the kitchen, and it's still functional but a bit dated. It's not a high priority right now, so thanks to Dad's stash, I get to test out having more bench space.

Well, it officially started! My exterior reno adventure is underway, and I'm already deep in dirt (literally). First, tackling some serious wood rot on the veranda – RIP old timber! 💀 Then, straight into hand-digging for a gravel trailer pad. Who knew one old tree root could cause so much drama and erosion?! But it's gone, and progress feels GOOD. 💪 This is just the beginning, and I'll be sharing all the reno realness on the blog as it comes together. Get ready!
