At a time when mainstream media allow for the proliferation of racism against immigrants, Arabs in particular, and no one seems perturbed by the reemergence of white supremest White Australia Policy, I’m happy to stand apart from other realestate agents.
I won’t tolerate racism in my life or industry. This means I definitely won’t tolerate it in political leadership.
My parents immigrated to this country before I was a twinkle in their eye. It was hard for them to leave their family and friends behind, but they did, so they had a chance to create a better life.
So not only am I proud of my family’s contribution to our multicultural society, I am also delighted when I meet others with a similar story. Their bravery inspires me. 💪
I’m always grateful to have the opportunity to meet people from different cultures and feel wholeheartedly that this, and our First Nations culture, is what makes Australia special.
I’ll admit, I wasn’t that interested in following the FIFA World Cup but I have now been inspired by the CommBank Socceroos Craig Foster to learn more about the incredible individuals in our team.
