Sunday Morning + Sunday Sessions with Pope Street Social.

This Sunday, we're keeping things very, very easy.

We light Sunday Morning, put Faith No More's Easy on the record player, pour a double espresso, grab a couple of flaky croissants and settle in with absolutely nowhere to be.

Some Sundays are flat out.

Some Sundays are just... easy.

And our Sunday Morning candle sits firmly in the easy corner.

Fresh coffee.
Good music.
Something buttery.
A candle burning in the background.

Honestly, we're not sure Sunday needs much more than that.

Let me re-introduce myself...

Hey, I’m Suzi!

I’m one of the creators and makers behind Pope Street Social. 🩵🩷

I’m the one that sews all the amazing things at Pope Street Social, but I’m also many other things.

I'm also a dog lover. Especially our Sausages.
I am a florist and I run my own floristry business .
I love Christmas, it is the best time of year and i wish it was celebrated year round.
I am a maximalist.
My fave movie is Dirty Dancing.
I am a crazy plant lady, and you can regulalrly find me at the nursery admiring the rare plants.
I am also a Disney Adult, and love going to Disneyland.

We created Pope Street Social to fill a little space in our own home.

Beautiful scents. Pops of colour. Things that make us smile. And, most importantly, a creative outlet for us to make things we genuinely love.

What started as something for our own home has slowly grown into something we get to share with other people.

I’m always up for a chat, so, if you see us at a market, come and say hi.

Everyone loves the finished product.

But no one ever sees what happens behind the scenes.

What you see:

Two perfectly poured candles.
Smooth tops.
Beautiful labels.
Gorgeous scents.
Ready to find their new home.

What you don't see:

Drops of wax on the bench.
Drips on the floor.
Wax flakes absolutely everywhere.
Tables covered in unlabeled candles.
Half-finished jars.
Boxes waiting to be packed.
And a workspace that looks like a small candle factory has exploded.

Because for every Sunday Morning and Campfire that ends up looking this good, there's a whole lot of mess, experimenting, pouring, cleaning, re-pouring and doing it all over again.

That's the reality of making things by hand.

It isn't always pretty.

But that's kind of the point.

The mess is part of the making.

And honestly... we'd take the wax-covered bench over a boring desk any day.
