“Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a while ~ including you.”
Anne Lamott 🌿

July has been full and beautiful and I am so grateful for every workshop, every gathering, every person who pulled up a chair and made something alongside me this month.

And now, I am taking my own advice.

I am heading away for a few weeks in August to rest, fill my cup and spend precious time with family. I’ll be quieter on here while I’m gone ~ but I’ll be back in September, restored and ready, with so much to look forward to.

Thank you for being such a wonderful community. See you on the other side. 🌿

I have a confession to make. 🎄

I am the person in this family who absolutely insists ~ no Christmas decorations, no carols, not even a hint of tinsel before December. My grandchildren will tell you I am a complete stickler about this.

And yet.

Every year I give each of my grandchildren a handmade Christmas ornament ~ a tradition that means the world to me and to them. Which means that as of next month I will have nine, yes, nine to make.

So you could say Christmas crafting begins a little earlier around here than I let on.

Which is exactly why I am finishing July’s workshops with something festive, because down here in Australia we have the perfect excuse. Christmas in July.
