Queens of Threads are a mother and daughter pair who have always been involved in creative endeavours. Christina owned and ran a bridal and evening wear studio for 30 years and specialised in cultural and historical events, often sourcing materials and accessories from the country being represented. As a couturier, Christina has a designers understanding and knowledge of the resources and finish r
equired for historical accuracy. Years of collecting these items have resulted in an impressive stockpile of superior quality and range. Modern suppliers of appropriate materials have also been sourced guaranteeing you the best selection. With all these years experience in related industries if we dont have it we can find it. Caitlin began hand sewing at the age of 6 and has always had multiple creative projects on the go. Shifting through; theatre, roleplaying, LARP, cosplaying, fursuiting and gaming her influences are many and varied. With Caitlin the duo designed for theatre and film and continued to collect a cornucopia of things to feed their growing passion for historical costume. Caitlin adventured into re-enactment with Christina eagerly following suit so the mother daughter team focused their efforts on purely historical items. Now both firmly entrenched in the love of re-enacting they want to share the goodies that have been accumulated over the many years with you. All eras can find resources here; Roman, Dark age, Viking, Anglo Saxon right through to the Renaissance.
