Looking forward to styling with some fresh spring colour palettes.

Lighter layers, fresh colour combinations and a little more personality — while still creating spaces that feel considered, practical and right for the home.

There’s something about a new season that makes you want to freshen things up… and I’m very ready for it.

If I see another completely white and beige property on the market, I might scream. 😂

There. I said it.

Somewhere along the way, “appeal to a broad market” started to mean remove every ounce of personality from a home.

Light. Bright. Neutral. Safe.

And sometimes… a little bit boring.

Don’t get me wrong — there is absolutely a place for a beautiful neutral palette. But neutral doesn’t have to mean boring.

Property styling is about creating a home buyers can see themselves living in. And to do that, it needs to make them feel something.

A little colour.
An interesting piece of art.
Texture.
Contrast.
Something unexpected.
Those little details that give a room life and make someone stop scrolling.

You can absolutely style for broad market appeal without making every property look exactly the same.

Because buyers aren’t just buying four walls and a floor plan.

They’re buying into the idea of what life could feel like there.

And personally? I think that deserves a little personality.

Because the best property styling isn’t about making buyers fall in love with the furniture.

It’s about making them fall in love with the property. 🤍

The styling is simply there to help them see it.

To understand how the spaces could work.
To notice the features that make the home special.
To imagine their life unfolding there.
And to create that feeling when they walk through the door and think… this could be home.

That’s always my goal when I style a property for sale.

Not to overpower the home.
Not to follow a cookie-cutter formula.
But to use styling to bring out the very best in the property itself.

Because ultimately, it’s the home we want them to fall completely in love with. ✨

This one deserved one last little moment on the grid… because SHE SOLD! 🏡✨

And I’m especially happy about this one because it was genuinely one of my favourite installs so far.

There was just something about the finished space — the warmth, the contrast, the layers and the way it all came together to show off what this home could be.

That’s always the goal with property styling.

Not to simply fill a home with beautiful furniture, but to help buyers see the potential, feel the lifestyle and imagine themselves living there.

And now this beautiful home gets to start its next chapter with new owners. 🤍

A lovely result for my clients — and definitely an install I’ll be keeping in the favourites folder for a while.

Styled. Listed. SOLD.
Exactly what we love to see. ✨

The response to my little health update really took me by surprise.

So many messages, offers of help, check-ins and people simply saying, “look after yourself.”

Thank you. 🤍

It also reminded me of something that can be easy to forget when you run a business and share parts of your world online… Business is just one part of life.

What you see here is real. I genuinely love what I do, the homes I work on, the people I meet and this business I’ve built.

But it’s only one part of me.

There’s also family, friendships, motherhood, health, ordinary days, complicated days and all the other pieces that make up a life.

Not everything needs to be shared to be real.

Sometimes life simply needs to be lived privately.

And perhaps that’s why all of your messages meant so much.

They reminded me that there are some pretty wonderful people in my corner — personally and professionally — and that taking a little time when life requires it doesn’t change any of that.

At the end of the day, I’m just a person like everyone else. Trying to be a good mum, run a business, do work I love, support the people around me and give this life a really good go.

And I’m very grateful to have so many of you along for the ride.

So now the plan is to stay out of hospital, spend some time recovering and get back on track.

Due to some unexpected health issues, I’ll only be intermittently available via email until further notice.

There may be a little delay in my response times while I take some time to focus on my health.

Thank you so much for your patience and understanding.

The part of property styling no one really talks about…

Styling a home for sale isn’t just about furniture.

Sometimes, the biggest part of my job is supporting the people who have to let it go.

No matter why you’re selling—downsizing, a new chapter, separation, or simply moving forward—your home has been the backdrop to your life. Preparing it for sale means seeing it differently, and that can be surprisingly confronting.

I never skip that step with my clients.

I help them understand that their home will feel different once it’s styled. It won’t feel like their home in the same way… because for a little while, it becomes a marketing tool designed to help someone else fall in love with it.

But here’s what I see time and time again.

Somewhere between the edits, the new layout and the finishing layers, something shifts. Clients often walk back into their own home and say, “I never realised how beautiful it really was.”

That’s my favourite moment.

Because styling doesn’t erase your home’s story—it shines a light on it. It helps you appreciate everything you’ve created, while making space for the next chapter.

Letting go is hard.

But sometimes, seeing your home through fresh eyes is exactly what helps you do it.

You might already have beautiful furniture.
Pieces you love. Pieces that suit your home.

So you might wonder… do I really need property styling?

But styling a home for sale is about so much more than whether your furniture is “good enough”.

It’s about the layers.

The layout — creating flow, showing scale and helping buyers immediately understand how each space can work.

The furniture — choosing the right size, shape, colour and combination of pieces to highlight the home rather than simply fill it.

The styling — adding softness, texture, colour and those finishing details that make a space feel complete.

And then there’s the storytelling — the layer that brings everything together.

It’s the beautifully made bed that makes someone imagine waking up there.

The dining table that says Sunday lunch with family.

The occasional chair positioned in the perfect spot that suddenly turns an unused corner into somewhere you’d sit with a cup of tea.

Because when we’re styling to sell, we’re not simply making a home look nice.

We’re showing buyers what living there could feel like.

And sometimes your existing furniture absolutely can be part of that story. Sometimes we need to edit it, move it, add to it or take a completely different approach.

It’s never about styling for the sake of styling.

It’s about looking at your property and working out what combination of layout, furniture, styling and storytelling will show it at its very best.

I don’t believe in cookie-cutter property styling.

I don’t pack up one property and recreate the exact same look in the next.

I don’t choose a trend simply because it’s having a moment.

And I don’t believe every home needs to fit into the same styling formula.

Because every property is different — and the styling should be too.

The architecture, location, existing finishes, natural light, scale of the rooms, target buyer, price point and even the feeling we want to create all influence the decisions I make.

Sometimes that means working with what’s already there.

Sometimes it means bringing in a completely fresh look.

Sometimes we need warmth, personality and softness. Other times the property needs restraint, space and simplicity.

The goal isn’t to make your property look like every other styled home on the market.

It’s to understand what your property needs to show itself at its best.

That’s also why I ask my clients to trust the process. There’s thought behind the furniture, the layout, the colour palette and all those smaller styling details.

Property styling should never be about what I want to put into a home.

It should always be about what is going to work best for yours.
