Weekend reset 🤍

After a few busy weeks, we're leaning into a slower pace this weekend.

A long walk, a few jobs we've been putting off, time around the table with friends, and hopefully a little space for new ideas to find their way in.

We've learnt that creativity doesn't usually arrive when we're rushing. It shows up when we create room for it.

Do your designer friends come over and immediately start moving your furniture around? Because apparently it’s a condition.

We popped into the .Living showroom for a browse and before we knew it, we were styling shelves, rearranging objects and creating little moments.

Not because anything needed changing- we just can’t help collecting ideas wherever we go.

Tell us we’re not the only ones who walk into a beautiful space and start mentally redecorating it? 😂

Featured pieces, because we know you’ll ask: the Artie Coffee Table in Earth Marble and Edit Sideboard.

Friday 5

We've had a few big weeks lately, and before the next busy season kicks off, this weekend is all about slowing down, resetting and filling the creative cup back up.

These are the five things on our agenda this weekend to help us recharge, reconnect and head into the coming weeks feeling inspired.

What are you doing this weekend to refill your cup?

What’s one design decision you made that you now regret? We’ve all got one.

The tile you chose in a rush. The pendant that looked tiny online and enormous in real life. The white sofa you bought before remembering you have children, dogs, red wine or all three.

Design missteps happen — and honestly, they’re often how we learn what we really love, what we actually need, and what we would absolutely never do again.

So share yours with us. What’s one design decision you’d make differently now?

Your answer might just save someone else from making the same mistake.

Perched above Sydney's Northern Beaches, this beautifully renovated family home captures everything we love about thoughtful coastal design. Not because it's filled with beach-themed décor, but because it embraces what truly matters — natural light, relaxed living, connection to the landscape and spaces designed for real family life.

One of the biggest misconceptions about coastal interiors is that they need to be overtly coastal. In reality, the most enduring homes take their cues from their environment rather than trying to imitate it. Natural materials, layered textures, soft colours and a strong connection between indoors and out will always outlast passing trends.

Because good design isn't about creating a look.
It's about creating a feeling.

The reality is that most of us won't live in the same home forever. Families grow, lifestyles change, rooms get repurposed, and floor plans evolve. Yet we often shop for furniture based only on what we need right now.

When you approach furniture as a long-term investment, the conversation changes. Instead of replacing pieces every time life changes, look for designs that can adapt with you. Not only is this a smarter use of your budget, but it's also a more sustainable way to furnish your home.

This is why we're such advocates for thoughtful, flexible design. Modular furniture is a great example of this mindset in action. A piece that serves one purpose today can evolve into something completely different tomorrow.

Captured at .living, Mel is sitting on their Sidney Armless Middle Module but we found equally beautiful and flexible pieces in their Muro, Addy and Melt Sofa collections.
