I received an order last week, and although my listings always say I can’t guarantee the spoon type I’d been asked if I had any in this design, this set was from my grandma when she passed. I said I was pretty sure I didn’t have any left but could make it with another design.

I went out to the shed again after finishing my order of 23 spoons not holding my breath, yet when I opened the cupboard the spoon on top was this one, the final one left from my grandma’s set. If that’s not a sign I don’t know what is, from one grandma to another 🩶

A friend was kind enough to donate a box of spoons that had been passed down to her, so in exchange she had family members pick spoons for me to make into bookmarks for everyone. All had special meaning but my absolute favourite was the Australian penny spoon with one end bent into a digger hat, how cool!

These are stamped with 3mm and 2.5mm Typewriter fonts, it’s amazing how .5mm makes such a difference but the end result looks awesome

I am on holiday! I’m off to Perth this week as part of my day job to try and recruit some rural doctors to our beautiful region, then hubby and the kids are coming over for an additional week of visiting friends and exploring, I’ve never been to WA before and can’t wait!!!

I’ll be back on Wednesday 5 November, happy to answer any questions while I’m away but just won’t be able to physically make anything, so get those Christmas lists ready because it will be here before we know it🎄🎅🏼
