Say hi to Bo!
If you've ever emailed, called, or visited our studio, chances are you’ve already met Bo—our Office Manager who supports the team behind the scenes.

With a background in architecture and a passion for photography, music, and football (yes, that is him in the photo with Sigur Rós!), Bo brings a thoughtful and steady presence to the way we work every day.

Bringing our clients' vision to life was a journey shaped by trust, creativity, and collaboration. The result? A home that is as unique as it is timeless—seamlessly blending practicality with character and style.

In their words:
"Adhami Pender Architecture were open and collaborative throughout the design stage, truly listening to our needs and aspirations, and transforming them into a space that feels so perfect for us in terms of functionality, quirkiness, and aesthetics."

It’s projects like these that remind us why we do what we do—crafting homes that are not only beautiful but deeply personal and built to last.

It was a joy to collaborate with Third Generation Building in bringing this vision to life.

Further details about this home will be featured in our upcoming newsletter. If you'd like to read more about this project and stay updated on our work, please join our newsletter by clicking the link: http://eepurl.com/hme1gf

We are proud to announce that on Monday His Majesty King Charles III visited the CSIRO National Bushfire Behaviour Research Laboratory, a facility designed by Adhami Pender Architecture to support critical research on bushfire behaviour.

This world-class space provides a platform for groundbreaking experiments, including the ‘Pyrotron,’ where The King himself ignited an experimental fire to observe how science is tackling the rising threat of wildfires. It was a privilege to see our design hosting such significant work that not only protects Australian landscapes but also informs global strategies in fire management.

As architects, we are deeply honoured to contribute to a project with such far-reaching impact, furthering efforts to build a more resilient future for communities worldwide.

We are continuing to introduce you to our APA team. This time we interview Noor Fureje who is interested in evolving architectural designs that introduce new and impactful architecture to the world and creating buildings which make as little impact on the natural world as possible, yet being considerate with the material choice and how it affects the deliverability of buildings thermal comfort and efficiency.

Batemans Bay, like the whole the South Coast of NSW, is enjoying positive population growth, and generous government investment. However, ageing housing stock, and a meaningful desire to protect the Coast’s spectacular natural environment from suburban sprawl means that greater densification in already developed areas will be a key strategy to creating a better South Coast for all. Our latest small townhouse project is symptomatic of the changes that are coming in Batemans Bay.

The Adhami Pender design philosophy draws deeply on eastern and western influences, and we were energised and inspired by the brief for this beautiful interior home renovation in Farrer. The clients sought a very clear French provincial glamour with Arabic flare. Starting from the dramatic routered black entry door, you're met with considered, intricate and beautiful details in this home. The entire upper floor is adorned with detailed wainscoting on every wall, while the herringbone timber flooring adds to the level of detail, while also adding warmth. The colour scheme is a warm and inviting mixture of off whites and warm mid brown timbers, off set by luxe marble wall and floor tiles and stone benchtops. The acute level of detail is most present in the fluted powder room cabinetry and provincial lambs tongue edge detailing on the kitchen benchtop. Vintage aged brass fittings and fixtures feature throughout the kitchen, powder room and bathroom, tying together the French provincial style of the home. The homeowners own Arabic artworks, rugs, and decorations bring in that additional layer of glamour and personalisation. This home manages to ooze luxe, while also equally being warm, inviting and comfortable.

At Adhami Pender we don’t impose our own architectural tastes on our clients; we design homes to reflect the individual style of our clients. For this impressive home in Ainslie, we had the unique challenge of designing a home with two styles; an two-story traditional cottage, with a wing in a more contemporary style. The house itself has two distinct styles both externally and internally, with the key interior brief to be warm, homely, comfortable and inviting. Upon entry to the cottage, a reflection of the "her" design preferences, a beautiful fireplace located in an off-white stone wall greets you and carries your eyes up to the second floor. The light oak timber flooring, light grey wall panelling, country "shaker style" cabinetry and rustic timber beam, invokes that warm, inviting, intimate feeling. Simultaneously, the entry also presents an impressive and elegant void, featuring an internal canted oriel window on the second floor. Little pops of light blue feature throughout the cottage adding a little playful charm, while natural limestone tiles add a level of earthy luxury. Brushed brass fittings and fixtures feature throughout both the cottage and modern wings of the home. The modern wing is a reflection of the "his" design preferences. The light oak now featured as wall panelling, is juxtaposed by darker warm timber flooring. Dark and sleek timber cabinetry presents a more dark and moody persona, giving this wing more of an adult only feel.

The Adhami Pender team always seek to deeply understand our clients to create bespoke homes that are perceptive, sensitive, and perfectly attuned to personality, aspiration, and functional brief. The interior design brief for this extension in Griffith was a warm, sunlight filled home, with cosy curl up places, and creeping lush plants. The client wanted an English manor feel to the interiors, drawing some inspiration from Jane Austin's Pemberley. Upon entry your eyes are immediately entertained by the warm spotted gum timber flooring, pops of navy blue, red and warm timber cabinetry, and a sunlight filled atrium, show casing the art deco inspired staircase. The hexagonal shaped library space is adorned with plant life, inviting the natural world inside. The checkerboard tiles featured in the open kitchen, dining, pantry and laundry provide a bold and interesting feature, and a nod to the Victorian era. Minty green cabinetry in the Pantry and Laundry are a light fresh breath of air. Feature wall colours, botanical / wildlife wallpapers, and brushed nickel fittings and fixtures feature throughout the house. This home is modern English Manor meets Alice in Wonderland. A uniquely beautiful home, that is equal parts eclectic, fun, interesting, while inviting a sense of warmth, comfort and tranquillity.
