This is the Hoad Capri in Latte that we installed for a client with a large sliding glass door. Floor to ceiling. The kind of look that makes a room feel finished.

That is not a heating problem. That is a window problem.

Most Canberra homes lose 30-40% of their heat through poorly fitted or wrong window coverings. Not because the products are bad. Because they are not sealed properly.

Here is what actually works before the first frost hits:

1. Honeycomb blinds fitted flush inside the reveal (not approximate, flush)
2. Blockout curtains floor to ceiling (gaps = cold air waterfall down the glass)
3. Sheers on your north-facing windows during the day (free solar heat, you are just blocking it right now)
4. The double-layer system: sheers by day, blockouts or honeycombs at night
5. A proper in-home measure so none of the above has a 10mm gap cancelling out the insulation
