We help you make the right decisions, in the right order, before changing them becomes expensive.

This concept was formed around two key pieces of furniture.

The sofa from the Indivi Collection was chosen with mustard-coloured upholstery. Firstly, it is easier to maintain, and secondly, the tone brings an inviting warmth to the room. It creates a striking contrast against the wall mural, allowing the eye to move outward and around the space, creating a feeling of being immersed in nature.

The new coffeetable collection by Claudio Bellini stands out as a piece of art, with balanced proportions and elegant curves.

Before we do anything else, these are the first 3 things we look at on your floor plan.

1. Flow.
Not just “can you walk from A to B?” I’m looking at how people will actually move through the house every day. Where do you drop your bags? Where do the kids come in? Does the kitchen connect naturally to the spaces you use most—or are you constantly walking around walls and corners?

2. Zoning.
A well-designed home doesn’t expose everything at once. I look at what you see when you walk through the front door, what guests can see, and what should remain private. E.g. bedrooms and family bathrooms.

3. Expensive decisions.
These decisions like international walls, door locations, window placement, power, plumbing and built-in joinery are much more expensive to change later.
We anchor them into the plans first .

These decisions shape how the home functions.

If you’re investing significantly in a major renovation, this is where I believe the real design work begins.

Timelessness isn’t about choosing beige walls, oak floors, and “safe” finishes.

The biggest design mistakes might be in the floor plan, the joinery, and the way each space is designed to function.

Especially the decisions that are expensive to change later.

Think of your biggest investments as the anchors of your home.

Things like your floor plan, kitchen joinery, plumbing locations, electrical wiring, insulation, and the acoustic separation between rooms.

These are the elements that should serve you well for years to come.

Trends will always change.

A statement chandelier in a double-height entry might look incredible today, but in five years it may no longer feel like the right focal point.

Instead, ask yourself:

How will we actually use this space every day?
Is there too much empty, unused space near the entrance?
Can this home adapt as our family grows?

Maybe today you need a mudroom full of footy boots, school bags, and sports gear.

But in ten years, what could that space become?

Timeless design isn’t about avoiding trends.

It’s about making smart decisions today that still make sense years from now.

I’d suggest keeping the trendy pieces to the items that are easy to change , like rugs, accent lighting, artwork, accessories, and upholstery.

Think about what your statement piece or statement colour is in the room. Is it something you’ll love for the short term or years from now?
