Today I had a stall for the first time at the Growers and Makers Market Bargara. It was a very nice market and I met some lovely people so I really enjoyed the day.

Thank you to everyone who came passed my stall it was very nice to meet you all. I look forward to the next time I'm at these markets. Now it's time to put my feet up and have a cuppa.

When I unpacked yesterday's glaze firing the pots were still a bit hot. To keep them safe from I put them on a nice bed of towels instead of a cold work bench.

Here are some of my little houses sitting on my last marketstall waiting to go home with people.

I love making these little fellows. Each house is unique and has its own personality.

One of the best moments as a potter is when you open the kiln and pull out a finished pot. Pottery is a bit of a gamble sometimes things can go very wrong so when things go right it's a gift from the kiln gods.

So much time and effort goes into each pot and every pot has to make it through several stages in the making process. At each stage the pot can be ruined if something goes wrong so if the pot makes it out of the final firing its something to celebrate.

When I start making a pot I have a vision of what the pot will look like. When I put it into the final glaze firing I have done everything I can to bring that vision to reality.

I close the kiln door and turn it on hoping for the best. I am always excited to open the kiln when the firing is finished. It is such a good feeling to pull out a pot that is exactly what I wanted. Sometimes I even get a pot that if better than I wanted.
