Introducing pépite - meaning 'a good find' in French, pépite is a temporary shop hosting a small selection of original objects by local creatives. Featuring a mix of carefully selected ceramics, jewellery, artwork, accessories and apparel, pépite gathers the work of some of Melbourne’s freshest and most promising artists under one roof. Excited to welcome Nomi Kitchen to our collection, the first release of this year's gifting capsule!

Founded in Stockholm by food and design enthusiasts, Nomi explores how design can be used to spark creativity, joy, and connection in and around the kitchen.

"To us, cooking is a creative outlet. A cultural ritual. A way of bringing people together. Whether it’s baking bread, braising coq au vin, or making late-night quesadillas, sharing food turns the ordinary into something meaningful."

The Bread Knife is a simplified take on a bistro style classic that slices without crushing. Perfect for crusty loaves and soft bread alike, pastries as well as slicing slippery tomatoes without squishing. Made from stainless steel and bio-resin (partly vegetable scraps), it's assembled by hand in their small studio in Stockholm.

Our gifting capsule is a collection of artful objects from like-minded brands around the world, each thoughtfully chosen with gifting in mind. More to come soon!

Thrilled to introduce the beautiful work of Tao Delves, the latest addition to the pépite collection 🤎

Tao Delves' practice began through drawing, and it was through studying Fine Art, majoring in Ceramics and taking sculptural classes that she became interested in the relationship between painting, clay and three-dimensional form. Delves is interested in the way the surface of an object can become an extension of a painting, allowing the painted mark to move around a three-dimensional form. Working primarily with stoneware clay, she paints directly onto the surface or carves into the clay. Delves is inspired by outsider art, ancient artefacts and Neolithic markings, particularly their raw, spontaneous and intuitive qualities. Her work draws on allegorical symbolism and Western imagery, particularly cowboys, as expressions of freedom and escape. Through fluid line-work and expressive marks, she explores memory, time and materiality.

Excited to present an incredible new collection by Fernando Salas of FDO Studio.

Inspired by the artist's journey to Karijini National Park in Western Australia, this series of work reflects the incredible colours, landscapes and rich history of the Pilbara region. Each piece features a hand-developed glaze created through extensive experimentation and multiple kiln firings, resulting in a finish that is unique to the work. Designed to be experienced as well as admired, the tactile surfaces invite the viewer to engage with the texture by touch.

Introducing an incredible new collection of work by David Austin ✨
David Austin is a New Zealand-based artist of Māori descent. Largely self-taught, his work draws inspiration from mid-century Nordic design and the Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi— the appreciation of imperfection, impermanence, and the natural cycle of growth and decay.

David primarily works with low-firing techniques, beginning with a bisque firing before exposing each piece to intense heat and smoke. This process results in richly textured surfaces, with no two pieces ever the same.

“Like me, my work is imperfect — cracked, chipped, with uneven glazes. There is beauty in that. Each piece is hand-built with intention, speaking in a quiet, intimate language. I hope it speaks to you.”
