LEMON AQUAMARINE

Sometimes it’s fun to mix pastels with a pop of a deeper colour. For this flat lay I started with the classic Schumacher Chiang Mai Dragon in Aquamarine layering it with Schumacher Lisboa Velvet in Sky, Textile Company Venice in colours 27 and 42 and for that pop the Schumacher Madeleine Velvet in Grenadine. I included the Inge Holst Bullion Fringe in Seafoam and Butter, Haymes paint colours Maize and Apollo Blue and Laminex Fresh Spring and Fresh Sprout.

Running on my adrenal system for most of my life has led to things like fibromyalgia- something I now live with everyday. In order to keep functioning, I have to ensure that I have rest - there’s only so many spoons a woman can spend in a day (look up ‘spoon theory’)

This project was a whole house transformation… so many things to love - from seamless flooring throughout to new beautiful bathrooms. From automated window furnishings to almost doubling the size (and function) of the laundry…
My favourite part would have to be the kitchen!
Oodles of storage and so much more prep space for this enthusiastic cook. Who needs a chunky exhaust for cooking when you can have this beautiful halo light/exhaust?

Looking for a creative night out with friends?

Join Tam from Nooshy Design and Jo from Brinnie T Design for a relaxed evening where you’ll create your own beautiful 40cm drum lampshade to take home.

Yesterday was install day for wallpaper in Thornbury. This paper was not on my original suggestion list - when my client first asked about it I was hesitant- but it silently grew on me and thank goodness : because it’s perfect!!
There’s still some painting, clearing and sorting before we can show off the finished spaces but enjoy the sneak peek!

You know those things you did during Covid… like cross stitch…
The pandemic passed, life found its new normal (?) and the cross stitch just sat somewhere … maybe in a drawer, maybe in the cupboard… because what were you going to do with it now?

This beautiful client had 2 cross stitch pieces which are now stunning cushions.

When I showed you all my new beautiful library cabinetry, a few of you noticed my bar in the background…
So here it is in its glory!
Turns out, I needed a bar much more than a linen cabinet (linen is now living in the library wardrobe)

There’s nothing I don’t love here… from the zebra wallpaper to the large brass snake handles. The cabinet itself is topped with a bronze backed mirror - easy cleanup for spills and an extra bit of fabulous.
The gold brass rubbing is one done by my Nan before she passed - she used to take me when I was little and in the end, she had one of the most prolific collections of rubbings at least in Essex before she passed. You can’t rub anymore so I’m grateful for the memories and the collection I have of her work. The piece above was one I found in an antique store in Kelowna (Canada) and had framed once I got home.
I love it when artwork becomes a talking point - but also when it tells stories of your life’s journey.
