I’m still unpacking Holy Week, specially Easter vigil. On Easter Vigil I received the Chrism Oil with the Sacrament of Confirmation, the greatest day of my spiritual life so far.
As gifts for my sponsor (my mother in law), our RCIA leader and our Parish priest, for their time, their love for God shown in how they taught us and were there for us (me) the whole time since our first lesson on June 6th 2025.
I made a personalised rosary bead for each one, a chocolate bar and a very special card you can see in my purely Catholic content page .catholic_life .
Very special gifts for very special people in my life.

We are about to enter Holy week, tomorrow is Palm Sunday and so the church is entering the most incredible time of the year. For the occasion I have prepared some palm arrangements for my mother in law, a couple of RCUa friends and one for myself. As I don’t have palm trees myself I asked around in a couple of Facebook groups I belong to, and a few days ago I got some offers to pick some leaves. I did my best to make some arrangements good enough to welcome Jesus into our lives!
I made another over 150 small crosses to take to the church, for parishioners who need some palm to be blessed tomorrow. I took the bag with about 120 today, after I got home I made the other 30 and I also added some olive branches to the bigger palm arrangements.
This is going to be my very first Palm Sunday in Australia! I’m very excited to receive Jesus and to live this experience as Catholic woman who lives Jesus and his church with all my heart!

Hello crafters,
This issue is worth sharing.
I have had a Cricut since 2018 and since 2019 I have been using Procreate to do my lettering or drawings, then saving as PNG and uploading to Cricut Design Space to them cut.
Mostly for names I have done this over 100 times over the years, but lately not so much. A few weeks ago I went to create names for our lockers at work for my friends and myself, but I noticed that the file uploaded with dots all around the edges.
When I noticed this I asked for help, but no one helped me. I try opening the file on other programs such as photoshop, and I thought I had found a work around the issue. But no, it didn’t work all the time.
Today, I decided to call Cricut, as I knew it was not a Procreate problem. The man who served me kept telling me I had a background and I lost it, so I had to hang up, because he really was just making me angry insisting that THERE WAS a background when clearly wasn’t any.
I showed him how it used to work with the same kind of files, but now they don’t.
After hanging up on him (I’m not proud of it, but I was just so annoyed) I kept trying different things, maybe I thought it was the colour I was using in procreate that it wasn’t solid enough and created those dots etc…
EUREKA! I figured it out!
the culprit, Design Space, as I had suspected it. whenever you crop and image it does it to it! I uploaded the very same file , once cropping it and the other one leaving as it was.
Incredible!
so, watch out for sneaky Cricut Design Space subscription, they will tell you you have to remove background to obtain a crisp image, because according to their “experts“ you still have background.

A couple of weeks ago I placed a very important cotton yarn order from and so they needed a new home for when I’m using them. This was a “quick” project, only took me two hours to complete, but it was so worth it to have it do e the same day I started!
For people who know me, they will know that I do my best not to bin things that can be re-used, recycled or up-cycled like I did with this cardboard box. I had the fabrics in my stash and I did buy the jute and rope cords, they were $3 each. I used a secondary box to add better bottom to my project.

Hola a todos mis amigos y conocidos de Chile. Hoy vengo a contarles una historia de trabajo, dedicación y de resilencia. La historia de como mi mamá a sus 72 años esta a un par de semanas de inaugurar su hermosa tieda de lanas y de todo para las manualidades “Lanas e Hilos Susy”.
Mi mami ha trabajado desde que tenia 16 años, sustentando incluso a sus propios padres, de jovencita aprendio el oficio de peluquería y luego comenzó a trabajar en el comercio y no ha parado! Es una excelente vendedora y ademas una mujer que no para, desde el trabajo a la casa sin tomarse un dia libre. Solo los dias de lluvia la obligan a tomar transporte para llegar a su trabajo, porque ella usa su bicicleta todo el tiempo. Es un orgullo de mamá!
Estos últimos casi tres años ellas compro un derecho a llaves y ahora se encamina solita en una tienda con au nombre.
Esto no hubiese sido posible sin la invaluable ayuda de mi papi que a sus 77 años ha restaurado e instalado muebles en su nueva tienda. No solo eso pero gracias a su ayuda financiera han podido lograr este inmenso desafío. Esto es ser una pareja unida por el amor, 50 años de matrimonio y siempre juntos llevando adelante sueños y haciéndolos realidad.
Dios Todopoderoso, hoy te doy gracias por mis padres y porque somos bendecidos hijos tuyos. Gracias Dios por todo lo que nos das y por tu amor.

My craft room, often called “the treatment room”. It has been about 15 years in the making and today she is just perfect for me.
This is not your “Pinterest style” kind of craft room; I have put this room together bit by bit and it makes sense to me.
What do uoh think? And tell me about your crafting space!
BTW: the knitting and crocheting 🧶 happens on the couch in the living room.
