I have always loved to draw but for different reasons I stopped. One thing living in constant lockdown in Australia has taught me is you need to do things you love or you go 'crazy'. To kick start my drawing again I decided to participate in . When I looked at day one prompt 'Crystal ' I thought of Supermans Ice Crystal cave. This is my interpretation of day 1.

Firstly I would like to thank and Heidi for sending this Stamptember set out to me. At one stage I thought the parcel wasn't going to make it, especially with the issues with International postage here in Australia. When it did arrive I was so happy! I sat and planned three cards especially when I don't own many animal stamps. I watched a lot of creaters on YouTube looking for inspiration. While I was watching the collaborations, I got inspiration for my first card from , she was making Christmas cards with the Stamptember set. Instead of card strip's I used distress oxide inks. Needed to practice ink blending so I thought this would be a good opportunity. The blending was my second attempt before I felt happy. My second and third card I got inspiration from , Kristina was doing a live using a stamp set she got for valentines day and cotton ball effect using watercolour markers. Instead of using coloured strip's for the layer I scored 1/8 lines in the first layer, however as it white on white you can't see it that well in the photo. I was going to have balloons on the card but decided against it as it didn't look right. The third card I struggled with putting the cat on the sentiment strip, in the end I slit the end so the tail could pop through otherwise you couldn't see the last would 'smile'. I hope you like them and as usual I am late to the party as work and life got in the way!

After a period of issues with my mental health and now getting back on track. I went to a new art store in Sydney today and finally got some of the paint brushes that have been on my wish list, Silver Black Velvet brushes and some black Stonehenge watercolour paper.
