If you have been invited to the Gorgeous Club by me and are wondering what it’s all about, I have attached a screenshot from their ‘about’ info on their page.
Their story is so much more than this though. It’s about two women around my age - Stephanie & Christina (dear friends of mine), who have selflessly given up the past few years of their lives and dedicated their time to caring for their mother who has dementia. One purchased a caravan, the other a bus and between them they took their mother on a road trip covering much of the top of Australia and down the West and East coasts.
It is a bittersweet story with lots of laughs at their own expense, but mostly lots of love for their beautiful mum Kaye. Some great photography, many stories of how they navigated this world of dementia and it’s impact on all three of them.
Now their story is being turned into a movie and in order to make this happen they need lots more followers. If I have invited you, please hop on over to their page and have a look. We may also be there in their situation one day, or may already have been, or currently are and can resonate with their stories.
I have much love for these Darwin women who have given everything up for the love of their mum.
