Almost 12 years ago, Found in Earth sprouted from very humble beginnings. It was a time in my life when I needed to be bold and reinvent myself after a massive loss. I wanted Deloraine to have somewhere truly special. A beautiful, welcoming space filled with flowers, creativity, lovely wares and a genuine sense of community.

The beginnings were quite humble, yet fuelled by big ideas, extraordinary hard work and plenty of determination.
Over the years, that little dream blossomed into the vibrant boutique florist, coffee shop and treasure trove that Found in Earth is today. A place where flowers have celebrated life’s milestones and sadness, coffee has sparked countless conversations, friendships have formed and everyday moments have been made a little more beautiful.

But what has always made Found in Earth special isn’t just what’s inside its walls.
It’s the people.

To our beautiful Meander Valley community, loyal customers, familiar faces and everyone who has supported us along the way - thank you. You’ve helped make Found in Earth part of the fabric of our valley.

To every member of our team past and present, thank you for your creativity, hard work, laughter and the little piece of yourselves you’ve contributed to the story.

And to my incredible current team, an especially heartfelt thank you. The past two years have seen me navigate the beautiful chaos of becoming a first time mum while running a busy business. It hasn’t always been easy, but your loyalty, understanding and willingness to step up has meant the absolute world to me. You’ve given me the space to be present for my family, and I’ll never forget that.

Now, it’s time for a beautiful new chapter.
I’m absolutely delighted to hand over Found in Earth to Lara, its wonderful new owner. Lara brings fresh energy, enthusiasm and her own creative vision, and I couldn’t be happier knowing this special place will continue to flourish in her hands. She is community minded and her gorgeous personality and nature is such a blessing.
Lara, thank you for seeing the magic in what we’ve created. I know our community will embrace gladly.

As for me, my floral journey continues through Curate Botanica, creating beautiful flowers for weddings and events, with much more time for the things I love.
I set out to give Deloraine somewhere special.
I never anticipated just how this little town and our beautiful valley, this business and its people would give back to me.

Life isn’t always about the happy occasions.

As your local florist, we’re here for the celebrations and the milestones — but we’re also here for the sorrow, the loss, and the moments when flowers can say what words simply cannot.

Creating casket sprays and sympathy flowers is something we approach with enormous care, respect and love. Each piece is created thoughtfully, honouring the person it represents and the family who loved them.

We love our community. We’ve shared so many of life’s moments with you over the years — the beautiful ones and the incredibly difficult ones.

Through all of them, we will always be here.

A new season of weddings is here, and we’re so excited to be creating beautiful things again.

From abundant, garden-inspired florals to something soft and romantic, sculptural and modern, wild and textural, or beautifully understated — every Found in Earth wedding is created to feel completely its own.

We have a limited number of dates still available for the 2026–27 wedding season across Northern Tasmania.

Some weddings begin with a vision. Others begin with inspiration.
This styled reception shoot at Mures Upper Deck, overlooking Hobart’s iconic waterfront, was an opportunity to explore a timeless green and white palette with a modern edge. Layered textures, sculptural florals and thoughtful details came together to celebrate a classic aesthetic in a fresh way.

Styled shoots are where creativity has room to breathe. They allow us to experiment, refine ideas and bring concepts to life that often become the inspiration for future weddings. Sometimes all it takes is seeing something a little different to imagine what’s possible.

A heartfelt thank you to Mures Upper Deck and Samuel Shelley who helped bring this vision to life. It’s always a privilege to collaborate with people who share a passion for beautiful, meaningful celebrations.

Our hearts have been with so many families recently. Some of the most meaningful work we do never makes it to our feed. Creating flowers for a farewell is a quiet privilege. In the midst of grief, families invite us to create something deeply personal—an expression of love, remembrance, gratitude, and a life well lived. We send many sympathy tributes throughout the valley and we are blessed to do so.
Every arrangement is designed with care, knowing it will stand beside cherished memories and help honour someone who was deeply loved.
We hope our flowers bring a sense of peace, offer comfort in difficult moments, and remind those left behind that beauty can still exist, even in sorrow.
To every family who has trusted us during such a tender time, thank you. It is an honour we hold close to our hearts. 🤍
