Meet today's installation supervisor!

The job might be blinds, but apparently the real task is throwing the Frizbee.

Our install team has clearly made a friend, and someone's decided the best place to wait for the next throw is right beside the van!

We pride ourselves on looking after our customers — and it's always a bonus when we make a furry friend along the way.

At Blind Design Devonport, we believe window furnishings should do more than look good — they should make everyday life at home more comfortable.

These dual blinds are a great example! Installed in this lovely kitchen, they give our customers more control over sunlight and privacy while helping manage the heat coming through the windows.

It's all about finding a solution that suits the home, the people living in it and the way they use their space.

Let's find the right solution for your windows.

LAST CALL FOR GUARANTEED PRE-CHRISTMAS INSTALLATION!

Can you believe we're already talking about Christmas?

Our cut-off date for orders guaranteed to be fitted before Christmas is TODAY – 10 October!

Missed the deadline? Don't worry — there may still be options available.

- Some products using in-stock fabrics may still be completed in time.
- Depending on how our schedule progresses, other orders may also be fitted before Christmas.

We'll always do our best to help, but we can no longer guarantee pre-Christmas installation for orders placed after today.

Thinking about updating your windows before the festive season? Give us a call and let's see what's possible!

At Blind Design Devonport, we believe the right window furnishings should do more than simply look good — they should work for the people using the space.

For this new childcare centre, that meant motorised blockout blinds for the baby sleeping areas.

The motorisation makes operation simple for staff, while the chain-free design helps provide a safer environment for the children. The blockout fabric gives staff the ability to control the light and create a darker environment when it’s time for the little ones to sleep.

We also had a deadline to meet, and we were happy to deliver:

Quote: 18 September
Ordered: 22 September
Installed: 30 September

A tailored solution, delivered quickly and ready for the centre to open.

A beautiful combination for the whole home.

We recently installed S-Wave sheers paired with blockout blinds throughout this home, creating the perfect balance of softness, style, privacy and light control.

The sheers let the natural light in, while the blockouts are there when it’s time to block it out. 🤍

Style when you want it. Privacy when you need it.

HELP US WITH A BLIND DESIGN THROWBACK!

We’ve been thinking about the history of our little shop and just how long it has been part of the Devonport community.

We believe Blind Design has been in the area — and possibly in the same building — for around 30 years!

So we’re putting the call out to the community…

What do YOU remember?

Do you have:
-Old photos of Blind Design?
-Old photos from inside the shop?
-Memories of visiting us years ago?
-Photos of blinds or curtains we fitted?
-Stories about Blind Design from years gone by?

We’d love to hear them!

Share your memories or photos in the comments, or send them to us by message. We’re hoping to uncover a little more of the story behind the shop we call home.
