Today I'm busy organising my little studio, which I've only had for a few weeks... when my oldest son moved out.

He is almost 22, so I guess it was time... I'm still a little emotional realising how quickly he's grown up and that he doesn't need me so much anymore...so wierd... it feels like only yesterday that we spent hours playing lego and watching Bob the Builder...

Anyways... I should stop procrastinating and get back into it. I have a lifetime of crafty supplies to fit into my lovely little 2.4m x 4m space which I am sharing with a vacuum cleaner, basket of clothes to fold and a collection of other bits and pieces that have nowhere to call home.

It's a lovely rainy day here in Fremantle... perfect for making! Here's a few little progress shots of my gum leaf embroidery...pretty happy with how this is coming together. I discovered a new embroidery technique to use for the tiny gumnuts. I think I'll add in some green ones also and a little stem in the middle of each. 🌱

It's been a busy few weeks at my day job at . We've just moved to a lovely, big new warehouse which has meant lots of packing and unpacking and collapsing into bed at the end of each day. It's nice to be settling into the new space and having time to spend with .and.co again.

If you're anything like me, you just want to open your package of fabric and start sewing!! Having to wash it first for shrinkage and colour fastness is painful!! That's why I wash and tumble dry all of the linen for my little store twice - so you can get straight to the fun part!! Plus it makes it so lovely and soft!!
