💀 HALLOWEEN 2026 UPDATE 💀

Halloween is going to look a little different around here this year.

For the first time in years, I haven’t been able to make, build or create anything new. I’ve been Vvery unwell with a chronic illness for the past few months, and honestly, just getting through each day has had to come before Halloween projects.

I’m finally on the mend, which I’m SO grateful for, but I’m definitely not back to full strength yet.

So yes, we are still doing Halloween on the 31st 👻🖤 but this year it will be a mix of props from previous years, a few store bought bits and whatever I can pull together without completely exhausting myself 😂

We will again be raising funds for Make A Wish on trick or treat night✨ That’s a tradition I wasn’t willing to give up!

It feels strange not having a garage full of half finished Halloween creations right now, but I’m reminding myself that Halloween doesn’t have to be bigger or better every year. I’m just happy I’ll be well enough to enjoy it 🖤🎃

And who knows… maybe 2027 will be the year of the comeback! 👀

How good are all these Book Week costumes made by my amazing followers!!! 💙💙💙 Love inspiring you guys to get creative!

And Wizz & Roz representing Book Week 2026!! 📚✨ The amount of questions I’ve had about how I made these two has been crazy 😂 I think I’ll make a tutorial for next year 👏

A little cardboard, a lot of hot glue… and one very iconic Aussie bird 🐦 🗑️

Here’s the making of our “Winner Winner Bin Chicken Dinner” Book Week costume for 2026 💗

Thanks KATE and JOL TEMPLE – We write books for kids!!! for such an awesome book!

The making of “Winner Winner Bin Chicken Dinner!” 🗑️🐦😂

When your kid wants to be an Ibis for Book Week… you make it happen! Safe to say I’m pretty confident there won’t be another bin chicken in the parade 🤣

Thanks KATE and JOL TEMPLE – We write books for kids!!! for writing such a cool book 📖

Anyone wanting to recreate, it’s pretty easy and simple to do, trip to Bunnings for a bin, add some garbage, make some wings out of cardboard and cover with material and add feathers, grab a cheap beanie and add a beak & eyes (and a tin on top!) 👍
