Hamptons style is still the most requested look we get at Kenwood Kitchens, and it's also the most misused. A navy island and some brass taps doesn't automatically make a kitchen Hamptons.
The ones that actually work — the ones that still look right five years down the track — come down to a few specific decisions. The right shaker profile for your ceiling height. Engineered stone over real marble (trust us on this one, especially if you've got kids). A warm off-white instead of a stark white, which can look harsh in Sydney light. Brass or black hardware, picked once and committed to.
We've built these kitchens from Federation homes in Paddington to coastal rebuilds on the Northern Beaches, and the brief is never quite the same twice. What works in a Mosman cottage doesn't always suit a project home in the Hills District, and that's exactly why a template approach falls flat.
If you're renovating and want a Hamptons kitchen that actually suits your home's bones rather than fighting them, we'd love to have that conversation.
What's the detail you're most set on for your dream kitchen — the island colour, the hardware, or the splashback?
