It’s hard to believe we’ve lost such a special friend and a true industry legend, Jen Bishop.

With her signature red lippy, Jen was the very definition of kindness and generosity. She was a tireless advocate for human rights, interiors, women’s rights, and an inspiration to everyone fortunate enough to know her. Brave, passionate and endlessly compassionate, she made a lasting impact on so many lives.

Watching you battle pancreatic cancer over the past 10 months was incredibly difficult. But I’m so grateful you were able to share precious so many moments with your beautiful family. Those memories are something Damien, Sebastian and Charlie will carry in their hearts forever.

Thank you, Jen, for the unwavering support you gave me over the years and for championing our work through . Your encouragement, friendship and belief in us meant more than you probably ever knew.

You will be deeply missed by so many.

Fly high, Jen.

With love,
Richard

What if the greatest luxury wasn't the view... but how your home makes you feel?

High above the pace of Melbourne, Skyline Sanctuary was designed as an antidote to city living. A place where the noise falls away, natural materials soften the architecture, and every room invites you to slow down.

We believe the best apartments don't rely on what's outside the window to make an impression. They create an atmosphere that feels just as captivating after sunset as it does at sunrise.

This is a home where craftsmanship, considered detail and timeless design come together to create something that feels quietly luxurious, and effortlessly liveable.

Take the tour.

Coming later this week... Skyline Sanctuary.

Some homes are designed around the architecture. Others are designed around the view. Skyline Sanctuary is a thoughtful balance of both.
High above Melbourne's C*D, this luxury apartment interior embraces the changing city skyline while creating moments of warmth, comfort and quiet retreat. Every material, artwork and piece of furniture was carefully curated to ensure the interior feels just as captivating as the panorama beyond the glass.

For now, here's a first look.

Join us later this week as we take you inside Skyline Sanctuary and share the full story behind this Melbourne interior design project.

The biggest renovation mistake? Thinking your budget is just one number. A successful renovation starts long before demolition begins.

After 25 years in interior design, we've learnt that the most successful home renovations aren't determined by bigger budgets, they're driven by better planning.

When you're planning a house renovation or building a new home, your budget needs to account for far more than construction. Flooring, tiles, appliances, lighting, specialist trades, joinery, furniture, styling, landscaping, and a contingency for the unexpected all play a vital role in bringing your vision to life.

The reality is, delays happen. Costs change. Hidden surprises behind walls are more common than most people realise. That's why experienced interior designers spend so much time planning before construction even begins.

A well-planned budget gives you clarity, reduces stress, and helps create a home that not only looks beautiful but functions beautifully too.

If you're planning a renovation, start with a plan, not just a number.

The beauty of this home isn’t found in a single room, it’s found in the way it unfolds.

The Gentle House is an exploration of quiet living, where natural materials, softened light and thoughtful restraint create a home that feels instinctively calming from the moment you arrive.

Every detail has been considered not for attention, but for atmosphere. The result is a home that feels grounded, effortless and deeply connected to the people who live within it.

This is what happens when design prioritises feeling over feature. A home designed for living quietly, beautifully, and with intention.

Take the tour.

Introducing The Gentle House.

A home where every detail has been designed to slow the pace.

Natural timber, softly filtered light, exposed brick and tactile materials come together to create an interior that feels calm, grounded and deeply connected to the way its owners live. Nothing competes for attention—each element works quietly in harmony, proving that the most memorable spaces don’t need to shout.

This is just a glimpse.

Join us later this week as we take you inside The Gentle House for the full project tour and share the story behind its thoughtful transformation.

The biggest misconception in interior design? That a beautiful home is all about the budget.

The truth is, the spaces you remember aren’t always the most expensive. They’re the ones that make you feel something.

Atmosphere is created through thoughtful layering of light, texture, colour, sound and scent. It’s what transforms a house into a home and turns everyday moments into something extraordinary.

Because great interior design isn’t about impressing people—it’s about creating spaces you’ll never want to leave.

Central to this Stylesmiths redesign was the interplay of
colour and materiality. From deep moody blues and
earthy greens to playful pops of coral, each room tells a
distinct story while remaining connected. “Our clients
didn’t want anything soulless. They were clear
that bold colour was part of who they are.

Foodie Friday… with a twist
We’re getting in early for Easter with a dessert that’s equal parts clever and delicious - Gaslight Me Pie.

At first glance? A classic lemon meringue. But look again… a crisp pie shell filled with clear lemon jelly, topped with fluffy, toasted meringue. Unexpected, a little cheeky, and guaranteed to spark conversation at the table.

Head to page and get the full recipe, shop your ingredients, and get ready to surprise your guests this Easter weekend.
