Another lovely unboxing! Thank you Andrea Andrea May - Handmade Silver Jewellery for these gorgeous tiny silver artworks.

Also - this is an example of what happens when you purchase from a small business instead of a faceless corporation. No spoilers - watch the vid to find out!

They definitely don't make 'em like they used to! This came up a treat after a wipe - I highly recommend using a magnet to collect random pins.

Handy for narrowing down the age! Anyone remember this business?

There might be several treasure chests we don't know about.

A lot of treasures! There was also a fairy brooch, a card from my cousin, a leather bookmark, thimbles, pencils, a tape measure replaced with string...

I had very curly hair when I was a kid. Do not recommend trying to DIY curls with curly hair and zero skills.

Whether these are still usable is another thing - but I already have a project in mind if the thread has perished.

Seriously - no idea! Let me know if you recognise it!

The lid broke off within a couple of years. 😞

Not sure why I kept this!

From memory, the yarn was a pain to knit. I've unravelled the bit I'd done.

Old and new together! I'm honoured to have my grandmother's sewing box. I hope she'd be pleased to see it in use again πŸ«ΆπŸ’•

Finally got around to filming my Hobart fabric haul (while stocking up my new sewing space!). I love checking out different fabric sellers - everyone has different stock and I often find new and exciting pretties. And I highly recommend visiting these two stores if you're in Hobart.

quarterinch has a cafe on site - and a cuppa was definitely needed by that point. There's room upon room of quilting cottons, and I finally found some cute dog prints that are earmarked for book sleeves and totes!

The next stop was Wild Stitch Studio, only a few blocks away. Another great range of fabrics, and they take donated fabric and onsell it, which is perfect for reducing landfill.

I can't wait to get stuck into using these goodies!

It's another cold night and Nero is an excellent foot-warmer.

It's 1 June and it's cold and dark and feels like 1 degree and pouring and freezing and cold and we are wusses.

There are so many items I can make from these strip sets that it's hard to decide! And there's enough fabric to make several pieces.

They'll be pieced into patchwork squares, and the colour combo is giving coastal vibes.

Stay tuned to see how they turn out!
