Friday afternoon parenting hits different. 😂

It’s been a LONG week, I’ve made approximately 47,000 decisions, everyone’s hungry and apparently I’m still the person in charge of dinner.

At this point, I’m just as surprised as the kids that nobody else has figured it out. 🫠

Please tell me I’m not the only mum clocking off mentally by Friday afternoon?! 😂🍷

Bedroom 2 is officially up next… Nash’s room 🤎
And I need your help because apparently choosing wallpaper for your own house is MUCH harder when you literally own a wallpaper business 😂

The panelling is going in and we’re using the same warm greige panelling as Kyharn’s teen room. The two bedrooms actually share a walk-through robe and ensuite, so while I want Nash’s room to have its own personality, I also really want the two spaces to flow and feel cohesive.

Now I just need to decide what goes above it. 👀
The brief for Nash’s room is pre-teen, warm, cool and a little more grown up, but still fun enough for an 11 year old. I really don’t want it to feel too “little boy”, especially when I know how quickly they grow up. 🥹

I’ve narrowed it down to four neutral checks/ginghams and I keep changing my mind.

And then there’s the last image… our bestselling Traditional Gingham in Coastal Drift. 🤎 I already know how beautiful it looks in a finished room, which is making this decision even harder.

So you’re choosing with me.

I wanted this room to feel a little more grown up without losing all the things that make it his. Basketball, colour, a little bit of fun and plenty of personality.

And the plaid wallpaper really was the starting point for the whole room. It gave me the colour palette and somehow made all the different pieces work together without the room screaming “basketball bedroom” 😂

I’m so happy with how it all came together 🤎

Apparently it’s been a while since I properly introduced myself 👋🏼

I’m La-Shea, the face behind Little Abodes Interiors, mum of 5, chronic overthinker, terrible sleeper and almost always running on coffee 😂

Little Abodes started from my love of creating beautiful spaces for kids, and somehow I’ve been lucky enough to turn that obsession into my actual job. 🤍

Most days it’s a juggle of school runs, sport, laundry, orders, approximately 847 open tabs in my brain and spending far too long deciding between two colours that look almost identical 😂

But amongst all the chaos, I get to create pretty things for your homes and your little people, and that still feels pretty bloody special.

This little space turned out even sweeter than I imagined 🤍
