Today we acknowledge Wiradjuri Country 🖤💛❤️
This is the biggest Nation in NSW, but you won't hear about it in school.
From the Blue Mountains to Hay, from Coonabarabran to the Murray, three rivers run through Wiradjuri Country - Wambool, Galari, Murrumbidgee.
Wiradjuri means people of the three rivers.
This is home of Windradyne, warrior who fought back in 1824 when they tried to take Bathurst. This is home of Wagga Wagga - place of many crows.
Wiradjuri language is coming back strong, kids learning it again, dictionary in your phone.
If you are in Dubbo, Wagga, Bathurst, Orange, Parkes, Griffith, Condobolin - you are on Wiradjuri Country.
