Good fun visiting the opp shops in Bowen especially with the banter after the federal election weekend. All in easy walking distance of each other from the main street.
👚 Salvos first off with banter on the demised pollies with one needing to go back to their fish and chip shop career and another considering the completion of their dinosaur park - very entertaining.
🤭 Next was the Red Cross with some great finds - just had to give a pair of linen pants a new home.
👗Last was Vinnies (see link) which had a wide selection of notable kitchen items like a gorgeous glass dome cheese platter or practical spice rack. A noteworthy moment was when a fellow browser threatened their child with going home and having a nap - laughing to myself, I thought when did this start sounding more like a treat 😂

When in Taroom, the Vinnie’s shop on the Main Street is well worth a visit. The words cute and friendly come to mind with a great range of clothes, books and some interesting decor pieces.

On Wednesday we were in Chinchilla where flood waters were rising. Ironically, one of the opp shops in Chinchilla supported the good cause of the Drought Angels (https://droughtangels.org.au/). Some treasures included beautiful Mediterranean inspired platters (if we weren't in a camper van, I would have bought one). Other gems included artwork and wine racks. A really nice shop that was well laid out.
