We’re getting a little bit excited now!!! September is our birthday month, and this year we’re turning 8! 🥳

Every year its been such a great day, and this one feels particularly special. Eight years of making, creating, growing, meeting so many wonderful people and sending our sculptures off to gardens and homes all over the place.

So on Saturday 26th September, from 10am–4pm, we’re celebrating, and we’d love you to come along.

There’ll be coffee and a sweet treat, some sale tables to rummage through, plenty to wander around in the garden gallery, and we’ll have a few lovely stalls joining us too, including "The Bloom Cupboard" and "Jack & Evey".

It’s really just a day to celebrate eight years of doing what we do, with the people who have made it possible.

8 years because of you. Thank you. ❤️

Some times there are the cheeky little characters that seem to appear in your garden when nobody's watching.

Our little curly-tailed mouse has a habit of peeking out from flower pots, nestling beneath herbs, or finding a home amongst colourful blooms. We've got them in quite a few pots around our garden.

People often ask how long one of our sculptures takes to make.

The honest answer is we lose track, and we couldn't give an exact number.

It's not because we aren't watching the clock, but because making something by hand isn't a production line. One weld changes the next. One angle changes the way the light falls. One tiny adjustment can change how the whole sculpture feels. We need to step back, and have a look, and sometimes it can mean wiggling off the weld just made and doing it again, somewhere else.

There are heaps of little decisions hidden inside every finished piece. Most of them will never be noticed.

We've been adding these new hanging pot rings to the posts and fences around our garden, and they've completely changed how we see some of our smaller pots.

Instead of disappearing into the wonderful chaos that spring growth always seems to bring, they're now lifted up where they can be enjoyed. Little pansies, spring bulbs and tiny seasonal displays suddenly become part of the garden rather than getting hidden beneath it.

We've made a heap of these pot rings ready for this weekend, so if you've got a fence, pergola, post or empty corner that's calling out for a little colour, we have assorted sizes for your pots.

Home isn't always just a place. Sometimes home is a feeling too.

It's the garden you've nurtured, and the path you've walked a hundred times.
It's the flowers beginning to bloom, and the little details that you've added to make visitors smile before they even reach the front door.

A simple sign. A warm welcome. A reminder that the best homes are the ones that invite people in, and the little paw print also hints to who else may be inside.

So why do we include so much detail in our animal silhouettes?

The answer is simple. Its because we want them to have character.

A cat isn't just a cat. Anyone who has ever shared their home with one knows they each have their own expression, their own personality, and that unmistakable look that says they're quietly judging you from the garden. Probably something to do with their food bowl too.

Taking the time to include those finer details means the sculpture feels less like a decoration and more like a familiar face tucked amongst the flowers.

We could have just popped the wren on a straight stake.

Instead we chose unfurling fern fronds because they already exist in so many Tasmanian gardens. It means the sculpture feels like it belongs there, rather than simply being placed there.
